It's like she's trying to rewrite Dune or something.

Her books are good, but they'll never be able to compare to that series. :)

I guess I'll read it, at least to find out how the series ends. I still have some interest in it, but I won't be one of the people who'll go out to buy it at midnight.

She won't kill Harry. That'd be too predictable. She'll kill off either Ron, Hermione, or Hagrid. My money's on Ron as the sacrificial lamb - after he and Hermione snog a few times, of course.

I'm looking forward to this one. I'll have to re-read the last two, though - just to refresh my memory on what's happened since Voldemort returned. Can't wait to see if R.A.B. is Sirius' brother or not. Remus Black, wasn't it?

And I'm not entirely sure that this book will take place at the school or not. Wasn't Harry going to skip his seventh year and go to his parents' graves before going on the hunt for Voldemort? I really need to re-read the Half-Blood Prince...

Hopefully that will suffice. :)

Ni! It doesn't! I demand you fetch me a shrubbery, a letter written in J.K. Rowling's blood, as well as a bunch of lab technicians (and any equipment they may need) and J.K. Rowling, just so I can see that it was really J.K. Rowling's note. And then you must fetch me another shrubbery, and cut down the tallest tree in the forest with... A HERRING! :p

I think this is the worst title ever and Rowling needs to be shot. Not in the head or heart so she'll die quickly, in the leg, so she could think about what she did wrong.

<_<

I'll bet 100 posts Ginny gets killed.

>_>

If you're going to reference Monty Python you have to reference The Flying Circus, or at least Life of Brian or Meaning of Life. Otherwise you get hanged for being cliche`.

i still don't understand what's so great about HP. okay, it's intriguing, but not to the level that there will be riots if HP is killed. big deal. everyone dies.

i'll pick it up when it cheapens just to know the story and then hide it in my shelf.

It was just the size of the later HP books I was referring to. JK Rowlings has just become such an institution that her editors have pretty much stopped editing, and the last few books just have every single character and every single possible plot contrivance and I think they've really lost their focus. These are basically children's books, and now you could use copies of Order of the Phoenix or Goblet of Fire to hold down plastic tarps in a hurricane.

Remus Black, wasn't it?
Regulus Black, IIRC. Remus Lupin was the werewolf homeboy of Sirius and Harry's dad. Underplayed by David Thewlis in the movie.

I saw the title on Fox News. Not sure yet what to think of it.

I am anticipating reading this book, and I think it's going to be best of the seven. At least for me, every book gets better.

Not for me. I only liked Goblet of Fire so-so, and after that, the books just went completely downhill. They kept getting darker and darker, and every time I was finally able to pick a favorite character, she killed him. :xp: I only read them anymore to see how it ends. As for what I think will happen:

*spoiler*

Sorry, I don't know how to do the fancy "spoiler" cover-up thing. :(

I don't think Dumbledore's dead, either that or maybe he will be resurrected. The whole "pheonix" thing and all... to me it seems as though she's planted plenty of foreshadowing. Besides, Harry wouldn't know where to look for the other horcruxes without him, much less know how to destroy them. If that's not the case, however, I'm thinking of making Snape my favorite character, so that he'll be killed. :xp:

Any of the tags can be found in the vB Code List. For spoiler tags, it's [spoilr]Stuff you want whited out[/spoilr]. I intentionally misspelled spoiler inside the example here so that it wouldn't be whited out.... :) --Jae

Thanks, Jae ;)

I look forward to springing major spoiler on unsuspecting Fangirls.
I do hope this is a poor joke, as if you are truly one who takes some kind of perverse pleasure in ruining the plot of anything, let alone something as highly anticipated as Harry Potter books...then I'm sorry you've nothing better in your life. Maybe you should get a hobby.

If I was serious about doing such a thing, I truly think they'd get over it. I'm pretty sure "Snape killed Dumbledore" didn't kill anybody.

No, he's pretty dead. She said it in some interview
