Astor
I'm sure if anyone has followed my posts in here they'd have seen that I have... eclectic musical tastes. The last of the Andrews Sisters died on Wednesday aged 94 - I'm a huge fan of the 30s/40s big band era, and singers from the period, and the Andrews Sisters are no different - they must have done something right to have sold 80 million records. So, here they are with Harry James... (This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.) And even after they weren't in style, they still popped up from time to time, this time with Dean Martin (my favourite singer). (This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.) And I've been listening to this guy quite a bit on my way to work the past couple of weeks... (This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.) maltron66
My father introduced me to rock and metal when I was little, so his tastes have influenced me a lot. Here are my favourite artists: Ronnie James Dio (My favourite power metal artist and all-time favourite metal artist. His thematology draws its themes from the Middle Ages. I juct can't pick songs, but for one thing, he was a genius of a songwriter, singer and a very outgoing and friendly person. May he rest in peace...) Metallica (even today it's the biggest thrash metal band in the world. I love both the lyrics and the sound of them. Again, too many favourites songs to choose.) Scorpions (They may be old, but nonetheless, thei music never dies. I just can't choose a song right now...) AC-DC (I just love Rock n Roll bands with the sound of heavy metal in them. Too many songs...) Creedence Clearwater Revival (My favourite 60s rock band. Their music was awesome and John Fogerty is an amazing vocalist. My fav songs would be "I heard it through the grapevine" and "Fortunate son".) Bad Company (Synonym of an "English rock supergroup". My fav songs are "Bad Company" and "Ready for love".) Apart from rock and metal, I love: The Blues Brothers (The only blues band I know of, their music is awesome, and so was their first movie/musical. "Theme from Rawhide", "She caught the Katy" and "Sweet home Chicago" are my favourite songs of them.) Ray Charles (He was a pioneer when it came to music. A great songwriter, singer and piano player. "Hit the road Jack" is absolutely my favourite song of his.) John Williams (need I say anything?) Enno Morricone (His music is more than excellent. Even if you haven't heard of him, you still must have heard some of his music. My favourite songs of him would be the themes from the movies "The untouchables" and "A fistful of dollars".) Randy Newman (I fell in love with his music when I was a little, back when I watched 3 Pixar movies a day. Those were days...) Other songs I like: Theme from "The last of the Mohicans" by Trevor Jones Theme from "Crimson Tide" by Hans Zimmer Theme from "The hunt for Red Octomber" by Vasilis Polydouris Theme from "Terminator 2" by Brad Fiedel (Thanks for pointing out my mistake, Pho3nix!) Theme from "The last legion" by Patrick Doyle Theme from "Mission Impossible" by Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen, Jr. Theme from "The godfather" by Nino Rota
Pho3nix
Welcome to the forum! I have to correct you there though, as the theme from Terminator 2 is by Brad Fiedel, not Danny Elfman. Fiedel did the music for T1 too. (This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.) Have to say It's one of my favorites too, so nostalgic. So the the T2 theme was by Fiedel? My friends from school told me he had only made the T1 theme, and that Elfman continued from then on. Uh, I should have checked out first before trusting them... Stupid mistake... Anyway, thanks for the info!

Rtas Vadum
(This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.) Didn't think much of the song when I first heard it in the movie's credits, but after watching it twice more(once after I bought the DVD, and again watching the commentary), I realized I liked the song. As for the movie itself, I thought I wasn't going to like it, although the trailer was a bit of a sway. Once I did see the movie, I liked it. I've read the book too, which I thought was good. Quanon
Of late been enjoying this band: Truckfighters Gravity X, labeled stoner rock. (This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.) I also discovered this, Earth - Pentastar: In the style of daemons. Just love the slow pace and 'groggy' vibe this band gives. Gues that's why it's called stoner rock (This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.) Love the second number; has some crazy lyrics. [u][size="3"]High Command[/size][/u] Bones are feeling sleazy Head spinning around Spend the night with Josef Goebbels Think I'm coming down Life isn't easy Thru having fun Spent the night with Heimlich Himmler Think I'm on the run Always done the best of everything around flew the plane for Rudolph Hess I've landed upside down Always have to have something in my head Shot cocaine with Hermann Göring now I wish I was dead And by chance, stumbled on this band; The future sounds of london. The Isness is just one of many things they did. (This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.) Bit whacky, but the lyrics are great. Please tell me mister spaceman Can't you really spare the time To float in innerspace? It's the most extra-ordinary place Please tell me mister policeman Can't you really tow the line And float in innerspace? It'll blow even your most criminally neglected mind Where do we come from and where are we going to? Life's a blinder when you find her Life's a downer when you've found her Can't you see this isn't life's mystery? Where do we come from and where are we going to? Welcome to the Galaxial Pharmaceutical (pharmaceutical) Miss medicinal Do you think it's critical? Look into the my wide eyed retina You'll see I'm at my Most illogical Irrational An instutional Maybe suitable Do you think I'm animal? Or maybe mineral? Or simple a vegetable? Cuckoo cuckoo cuckoo You see my mind is projecting everywhere In innerspace Manifesting three dimensional Illusional Inexplicable And while you're here miss medicinal When I think you're cutical So beautiful Oh so magical Almost edible Is my love incurable? It is all so inconcievable? Where do we come from and where are we going to? How come you're never around anymore huh? Am I big or am I small? Everyone seems ten feet tall A lamp shade glides like a guilloteen above my bed The world seems like a million light years From my head The spacecraft has been programmed for me So let there be a message on my answer machine From friends or lovers who will miss me When I'm gone When I'm gone (5, 4, 3, 2, 1, lift off) When I'm gone When I'm gone
Pho3nix
My good man, Quanon! I love both Truckfighters and Earth! saw the former live with Kvelertak back in April and Earth in Stockholm over a year ago now. Actually got to shake hands and have a chat with Dylan Carlson a couple of weeks back as he's currently touring as a solo artist with a drummer from some folk band. This has to be my fave TF song though (which I luckily heard live too!): (This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.) and as for Earth: (This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.)
