Nedak
I've beaten both KOTOR and KOTOR II on the Xbox many times, and I was wondering if it is different on the PC?
Fish.Stapler
Just the way the interface looks and a few minor items here and there. Storyline and gameplay are the same I'm pretty sure.
Nedak
Oh, ok. I heard that you could go online and get new quests and items or somthing.
90SK
Sort of. Those are called mods.
Vegard Aune
Sort of. Those are called mods. Well, there's also the Yavin Space Station in K1, but that's only one module, and you can't really do much there. So, yeah, except the interface changes and Space Station, there aren't really any changes between the two versions.
Jediphile
IIRC, Yavin is actually fully part of the pc version - it's only in the Xbox version that you have to actually download it. And while you can all sorts of mods and tweaks for KotOR and TSL for the pc, only the patches are in any way "official," since all the rest are done by fans and not by the devs.
Ctrl Alt Del
Aside from mods, better graphics and some extra content (Yavin). You have nothing new.

Nancy Allen``
A couple you want to get are the ones that allow Bastila on Korriban, the Juhani romance mod (it adds in dialogue) and whatever the dialogue restoration mod is that puts back in the dialogue that's on disc but unused. For Sith Lords, I bought it for PC specifically for mods that fix the game, such as being able to meet Lonna Vash on Korriban and Team Gozka's restoration mod that's in the works. RedHawke's Coroscant mod is neat if you want to get a few more powers and powerful items, and you want a challenge. Another mod you might like is called Return of the Jedi, where instead of Kreia using floating lightsabers against you she resurrects the Jedi Masters. Groovy, from a lightsided standpoint you're forced to kill them and from a darkside one you get your revenge\kill them again.

Arátoeldar
Some of my favorite mods for K1 are Rehawke's mods and Chainz's saber mod.
Nedak
What KOTOR should I buy for PC?
Emperor Devon
Both of them support slightly better graphics, mods, and cheats, so it's really just a matter of which you like more. But I'd get KotOR I if you haven't already played it, and TSL if you have.
Nedak
I've played them both, I just don't know which will have better MODs
90SK
I'd go with KotOR II, if not both of them. Much more content available through mods for K2.
Nedak
^Alright, thanks. Edit: Sorry for the double post (it also bumps the post) but I just bought KOTOR1; where is a good place to download MODs? I have combined your posts. Sorry but no 'bumps' or double posts, thanks. -RH
Nancy Allen``
PCgamemods used to be good until it closed. The forums here for mods will lead you to most of the good stuff and, is it kotorfiles? They have a lot of the stuff you'll find here. For some of the more obscure mods you'll need to actually search for them, there's a few that arn't anywhere but on some forgotten corner of the web. IIRC that Return of the Jedi mod wasn't on any of the main mod sites, the same for the Lonna Vash mod.
