GO GO PARODY RANGERS!

Recommended Posts

Because there was something to like in those shows, even if they were a bit lame, so was pretty much anything else on TV.

The thing is, are you pounding on 'em just to appear 'cool'? Because it'll end up having that ol' reverse psychology thing where people realize the sad one is the one making a big deal out of watching a show that he himself states as silly.

In which case, who is the one with the problem?

I liked Power Rangers, and I liked Pokemon (though, hated Digimon). Same time I like ReBoot and Gargoyles. But had they been as popular as Power Rangers and Pokemon, would you diss them? You'd prolly will, because I think you're not looking at the quality of the shows and just dissing them to look 'cool'.

Unfortunately, we're over 16 here at least. That sort of backyard standard went out ages ago.

PS: For the record, I'm not saying Pokemon/Power Rangers are as good as Gargoyles or ReBoot. But one shouldn't discriminate a show just because he has some pumped up impression of himself.

Yeah, I remember the old Turtles cartoons. The new ones gay-ified them. What happened to Shredder's bumbling henchmen Rocksteady and Beebop?

I disappointedly watched some show similar to Power Rangers....can't remember the name but it involved some overall human morale, the hero (Servo?) going into a computer, kicking butt, enemy gets bigger, he gets bigger, enemy develops some weird power, then hero calls help in which another guy and/or girl comes in with their robot upgrades.

I tell you: I love technology (supposedly) originating from Japan, but those guys really know how to beat a dead horse.

I have to learn all this crap so I can talk about something with kids at work. Just when I've gotten the turtles and their colors figured out, in comes the Power Rangers, and not just plain old Power Rangers. No, they have to confuse things. Just when I have which color power ranger is who, they bring in Power Rangers 2, then 3, then 56, then Space Patrol Delta, then Godzilla Hunters, you name it. Of course they don't stay the same colors. That would be too convenient. I think I'll stick with Sesame Street--40 years and nearly everyone's the same. Big Bird is still yellow and Oscar the Grouch is still mold-green.
