Live Free... Or Die Hard.

Yippee Ki Yay.

I actually haven't seen the other Die Hard movies all the way through, though now I definitely want to check them out.

This movie. was. awesome. I know it's a summer action flick but hell, it did it damn well. John McClane should have died a grand total of like 30 times in this movie.

Anyway, down to the review.

This movie was awesome. There's nothing much I can complain about because it is just a really fun thrill ride. Justin Long plays a decent hacker kid who helps out Bruce Willis' McClane as he tries to defuse a huge cyber terrorist plot. The terrorism idea was actually well thought out and very extensively shown in the movie. It kept me very curious as to what would happen next. So in an action movie, that's definitely a plus.

p.s. Kevin Smith has a great cameo.

This film gets a 9.5/10, er, 10/10 from me. Because I honestly don't know what I'd dock half a point off for.

Final Verdict: Go see this movie.

I enjoyed it. It was worth spending the $6.95 to see it. No doubt, it provided the entertainment. The plot wasn't too bad, I didn't have a problem with it. The action was definitely a surplus. Bruce Willis was pretty good. Though, I haven't seen the other Die Hard movies, though I suppose I should, but he seemed to have to role of McClane pat down. ;)

I also like how they implemented Gears of War twice. :p

I'll give it about an 8 or 8.5 out of 10. Probably one of the better films I have seen thus far into the year.

Well, obviously there are some fight scenes. Though, none of them seem to be gory or explicit. But, it happens constantly through out the movie. Then, there is a bit of profanity. Personally, the 14A or PG-13 rating seems realistic.

Though, if you want to know an in-depth review of the violence/sexuality/profanity, you can see it here.

It was PG-13, and was not deserving of R.

But definitely one of the best movies I've seen in a long time, it kept me into it until the very end. The ending was kinda disappointing, but it still was just awesome.

3.5 stars (these are movie reviews, after all)

I know some people that are turned off by it's PG-13 rating, but according to reviews I read it "deserved" R.

What are your opinions?

I'd say a PG-13 rating is about right, there's a lot less profanity in the new one compared to the first one. I only heard "mother****er" one time during the whole show, and he said it more under his breath.

I also like how they implemented Gears of War twice. :p

I only saw it once at the start when that guy was playing it. When was the second time?

i'd put it at like a hard pg-13. there wasn't a lot of gore or blood but a lot of violence. however i was surprised at the amount of cuss words they used. i didn't know they could say the s-word so many times in a pg-13 movie.

also, was anyone else thinking of Arrested Development everytime matt said they were having a fire sale? I couldn't help thinking of tobias. :D
