Darth InSidious Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Hat-tip to Miltiades over at Team-Gizka for this gem of a find. You can now download Legacy of the Force: Betrayal from the Del Rey website: http://www.randomhouse.com/delrey/starwars/sw_legacy.html . The offer ends on May 13th, though, so I'd advise haste. Just don't expect a masterwork of literature.

I now have the pdf & the audio-book. (Though, I've not finished burning it onto my CDs.)
Da_man Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Nice find, InSidious, I'vr been trying to find something to read for a awhile.
Astrotoy7 Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 awesome....this might give me the kickstart I need to get back on the road to becoming the EU god I once was cheers for the links mtfbwya
Prime Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 This was one of the better ones in the series, IIRC. But it definitely went down hill to the end. I'm not a fan of any of the post RotJ EU TBH.To a large degree it has become subpar, especially recently. Lurking around various SW forums it seems clear that there has certainly been a drop of satisfaction with the novels. The comics, however, seem to get a vastly more positive response. But LotF has been a huge letdown for most, myself included.
adamqd Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Damn! I already paid for all these (Apart from Invincible obviously), should of waited a year I could of got them for free On the whole I have quite enjoyed them all, the only let downs are some of the ridiculousness that survived from the NJO.
Samuel Dravis Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 I don't intend to read any LotF books because I object to their content - even if they're free. >.>
Serpentine Cougar Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Thanks for the link! Maybe this'll clue me in to a little more EU knowledge! I don't intend to read any LotF books because I object to their content - even if they're free. >.> Why's that?
Corinthian Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 I agree with Dravis. Mostly because of the minor issue of character derailment.
Corinthian Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 At the present rate of shredding, I anticipate the next book will feature a lesbian affair between Leia and Tahiri, Anakin Solo coming back from the dead to find his family has turned into something that resembles a cross between Vampire: The Masquerade and Melrose Place, Jaina, desperate for credits, becomes a hooker on the streets of Coruscant, Han returns to his smuggling roots, Luke begins dating Daala, and Ben Skywalker, after getting Jysella Horn pregnant, commits suicide.
Quanon Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 ^^ Looks like Star Wars turned into a soap opera.... Now I know why I don't read any EU stuff that starts after Ep VI. I just pick the things long before it like Kotor Series or far beyond it like Legacy comics Though I shouldn't be comparing books against comics. An apple ain't no orange.
