MdKnightR Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 Some of you may remember my bike looking like this... Well, now it looks like this.... So, what do ya think?
Rev7 Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 That is pretty sweet MdKNightR! It just makes it stand out, of course if you like that sorta thing.
Char Ell Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 When it comes to motorcycles my philosophy is the more visible they are the better. So IMO burnt orange wins out over dark red.
Sabretooth Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 Mid, that bike is a beauty. Would love to take a spin on it - excellent work with the colour job! Very distinctive!
Aash Li Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 When it comes to motorcycles my philosophy is the more visible they are the better. So IMO burnt orange wins out over dark red. So... you have a bright pink motorcycle then?
Sabretooth Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 So... you have a bright pink motorcycle then? Actually, A bright Yellow mildly tinted towards green is supposed to be the most visible colour. Not really bad, but not with much biker attitude anyways. I'd personally prefer my ride in a wispy violet, probably indigo.
mimartin Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 So IMO burnt orange wins out over dark red. Burnt orange wins out over all! The orange is just a shade too bright for my taste. Just kidding it looks really great.
Char Ell Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 So... you have a bright pink motorcycle then? Actually back when I owned one it was Kawasaki Green You can have the pink ones Aash. Burnt orange wins out over all! Doh! I unknowingly walked right into that one. I do believe you meant to say maize and blue win out over all though, right?
Astrotoy7 Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 lolz...I was all excited thinking you got a Toyota Prius, Honda Insight or FCX, and then I see a motorbike... *sigh* anyway, nevermind me....... enjoy! mtfbwya
90SK Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 I LOVE the color orange. Like, me 'n orange: we're tight. so your choice of color gets my stamp of approval!
MdKnightR Posted May 24, 2008 Author Posted May 24, 2008 lolz...I was all excited thinking you got a Toyota Prius, Honda Insight or FCX, and then I see a motorbike... *sigh* anyway, nevermind me....... enjoy! mtfbwya A Prius? That's not a car, that's a lunch box. - Achmed the Dead Terrorist. Well, its a lot more fun to ride than those are and it also gets killer gas mileage. I get around 40 city and 50 highway. The name of the color is Tangelo Pearl. As you can probably see in the pictures it ranges between bright yellow and deep red-orange depending on the light. The color of the Heart of the Guardian saber is what served as inspiration for the new color. It is a lot more visible than the Candy Plum Purple that it used to be. The pictures never did a real good job of capturing that color.
Arcesious Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Very nice! Now all it needs are some flames on the sides! It's odd, I've been seeing more and more people riding motorcycles through the city where I live, and it isn't because of a motorcycle club in town... My father told me the average motorcycle gets 60 to the gallon... I can only imagine the profits that the motorcycle selling buisnesses are making now...
Fuu Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 I like your paint job, it looks pro! I will say this though: You should convert that bad boy to AC electric. Personally, I think it's HAWT when you can smoke a fool @ 500 yards without using a single bit of combustion generated power. Not to mention the ridiculous pump prices these days. Call me hippie all you want; theres something to be said for caring about your global impact: it's sexy! I mean, isn't that part of the allure of motorcycles anyway? @Astrotoy: Tesla FTW. Now, if only I could find a "wealthy benefactor" hahaa. F
Gurges-Ahter Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 It looks great MdKnightR! I'm getting my first bike in July or August.
Astrotoy7 Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Astrotoy: Tesla FTW. Now, if only I could find a "wealthy benefactor" hahaa. F Whilst technically impressive sure, The Tesla roadster defeats the purpose of "economical" motoring mtfbwya
MdKnightR Posted May 26, 2008 Author Posted May 26, 2008 I like your paint job, it looks pro! Well, it is a pro job. I had a guy who specializes in painting motorcycles do the work. I may be an artist, but this is certainly not my area of expertise. In the words of Woody Blake as he arrives late to the BBQ in his antique Corvette in the movie "Mission to Mars"... "Gentlemen, Internal Combustion Engines. Accept no substitutes.":xp:
