Knights of the Old Republic : The Jedi Masters

Lol. It's the beard isn't it? :D

I've tried at least seven times to get that thing right. I might just have to give up and get him a clean shave.

Hope you don't mind, I tried a quick attempt at altering the image of the assassin to add a stubble like beard as well as a thicker beard as I have a few photoshop brushes which are quite good at doing hair and stubble:

It looks a slightly wonky because I edited the ingame shot removing the old facial hair and adding the new rather than editing the source textures as I don't own TSL.

The way I see it, Kotor 1 had you trained a LS Jedi, then gave you the option of turning to the dark side. Kotor 2 had you start, sort of trained as a gray Jedi, then had you swing either way. So, for this I have you start out more trained by a Sith, then with the option of turning towards the light.

A bit like the force unleashed then? (from what i've seen of it)

Just created an account to say: This mod looks fantastic and I can't wait! I seriously check the WIP and this thread every day, sometimes more than once per day. Same with TSLRP WIP and forum. I want to play KOTOR2 again but I don't think I can play it again in it's current "official" form.

Go Trex go!

/agree but plz Trex give us some reports about your progress :) we are all eager to get our hands on your 1337 mod and seeing how the work goes only cheers us up. or me, at least.

Posts requesting updates are usually discouraged, but I'll answer this one. :)

The reason there hasn't been a new update is because I'm currently working on Coruscant, which is a little bit big. The average more free roaming planet in this mod is 3 to 5 modules in size, but Coru is more like 20.

Since it's also the last free roaming planet to visit (at least in my own canonical story order), it's also where most of the character sub-quests are resolved. Like KOTOR 1, I have a few global missions which begin as a result of talking to your party members (five actually). So the Coruscant level also involves debugging all of these.

On the upside though, every level after this is fairly linear, which I find slightly easier to sort out. Hopefully this will be my last big headache.

Edit : Just noticed. 10 000 views to this thread. Yay. :)

Just out of curiosoty, will there be an option at the title of which game you can play? or will I have to un-install this mod to play TSL?

I tried at an earlier stage to come up with some custom menus, but I could never come up with a way to manipulate the GUIs. I think their hardcoded, so I'd need access to the full game engine. The most I could do was loose Nihilus (or whoever stands there), and replace the logo.

My modding skills have advanced since the last time I tried though, so I may have a last minute look into it again.

Uninstalling the game wouldn't be too much hassle though. See an earlier set of posts in the thread about switching the Override and Modules folders. :)

Yeah take your time Trex :) I just started KOTOR2 again, I couldn't wait for this or TSLRP.

I have no patience hehe. Hope I finish this playthrough before TJM or TSLRP is done, but even if I don't there are so many AAA titles out for me to toy with, and even more coming.

Yes, yes they are, and anymore will result in warnings or infractions for spam... sorry folks but the PM system is there for a reason ask for updates there, these threads are for the modder to get feedback on his/her posted WIP's not to get pestered for updates.

Thanks.

Edit: To clarify things "when will you release?" posts are also verboten.

Is this from Jedi Masters mod?gh7koasa3zwf60cs6v0.jpg

Lol. Forgot all about that. I think I submitted it about 3 months ago.

Yes, it's a screen shot from one of the mod's fmv movies. To make anything involving the ships I used a variety of models in game as characters and 2D animated photoshop stuff for the movements (that make sense?).

As a result, to be honest, I was never that keen on this shot. I don't think the fighters work as well and they look too matted in. I was just very pleased with myself at getting this particular video finished as it was particularly difficult (it's the same one that includes the planet exploding from the end of the full trailer).

Still looks cool though. :)

I'll take your word for it.

Just one more thing, i'm unsure if anyone else has pointed this out to you. But your models, characters, landscapes, ect, look rather pixle-y. have you, or are you, going to fix that? I can't see it detracting from the story, but it could be anoying to some people.

Do you mean in the trailer or the pics?

The textures in game have exactly the same resolution as Kotor2, they might just not have come up as well when I was taking pictures/recording footage.
