Inyri Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Hi guys! I'm looking for an LF'er from New Zealand. I'm looking to acquire a certain product from that location so I need an inside guy to help me out! Product can be viewed below: Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Anybody else ever wanted some ridiculous thing that no one else would ever want?
Jeff Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I would also like one of those! I just want a fresh Kiwi. Can I have both?
Darth333 Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Sheep? edit: just saw the newly added image...you can keep it...oh wait... ...sounds like you'll need a lawyer to import that!
Inyri Posted October 9, 2008 Author Posted October 9, 2008 Can I have both?...together? Sheep?Sheeps are cool, but they dun taste as good as cows.
mimartin Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I just want a fresh Kiwi. There is no more Kiwi, that thing Inyri wants ate them all.
Jeff Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 ...together?Maybe put them in the same crate with a divider down the middle. Shipping is a bitch.
Inyri Posted October 9, 2008 Author Posted October 9, 2008 I dunno, the weta might be able to chew through the divider. Then you might only get one product. >.>
Astor Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 It's a giant weta. Duh. >.> 0=) No, is it some kind of giant grasshopper/cockroach thing? I've never even seen a bug THAT big.
Inyri Posted October 9, 2008 Author Posted October 9, 2008 That's because they live in New Zealand. My god, pay attention Astor.
Darth333 Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 It's a giant weta. Duh. >.>I wonder what you were googling when you found that thing... Maybe there should be an LF version of this ? (j/k)
Inyri Posted October 9, 2008 Author Posted October 9, 2008 That image was provided to me by a fellow LF'er. I have this weird thing for bugs... Another favorite of mine: Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Have I grossed you guys out yet?
Astor Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 That's because they live in New Zealand. My god, pay attention Astor. Are all entomologists this sarcastic?
Inyri Posted October 9, 2008 Author Posted October 9, 2008 Probably. You have to be a special kind of person to enjoy a giant grasshopper from hell.
jrrtoken Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 If you think that a giant grasshopper-thing is scary, you ain't seen nothing yet: Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show)
Inyri Posted October 9, 2008 Author Posted October 9, 2008 What never seen a bumble bee? They aren't much smaller. Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) :D
HerbieZ Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I'm regretting seeing this thread now. If i ever meet these bugs in real life, i'll leave this planet.
Darth333 Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I have this weird thing for bugs...Dad used to have an exotic insect collection from the 1950's...he gave it to someone for his schoolwork who had it evaluated...apparently some of the species in there were extremely rare and the damn thing was almost worth a house I Another favorite of mine: Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Have I grossed you guys out yet? Not a chance..d3 grew up in the jungle (partly)...I used to play with these

Another favorite of mine: Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Have I grossed you guys out yet? No. This guy brings back memories of summer nights. I love the sound they make.
Inyri Posted October 9, 2008 Author Posted October 9, 2008 Where do you live? Because unless it's in the midwest you have noooooooo idea. NO IDEA. >.> Not a chance..d3 grew up in the jungle (partly)...I used to play with these wat. WAT. JEALOUSY. Wait, there's a jungle in Canada? o.O
mimartin Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Where do you live? Because unless it's in the midwest you have noooooooo idea. NO IDEA. >.> Texas, but I also spent a lot of time in the summer in Mississippi, Missiouri and Oklamhoma. The worst I remember was my uncles who was a rice and soybean farmer and had no air-conditioner. I also remember finding these a lot as a child in Texas. Not that it is a insect, but the Horney Toad eats insects. Although it might have a little difficulty eating the Giant Weta. Pesticides have all but wiped the Horney Toad out.
