Classes applied to characters in the films--what do you think?

Yeah. I mean we all know the classes and prestige of jedi and sith. And other characters. What do you think and why?

Don't be afraid to make up *REASONABLE* classes if someone doesn't fit the mold.

I suppose you could argue or refute someone else, but this is about what YOU think...you must also state why and perhaps some evidence--depending on how far out you want to get.

Also, do not let yourself be swayed by lightsaber forms or colors. I HATE that certain forms were restricted from consular, etc (though, yes I'm usually a guardian/weaponsmaster, I gave consular a whirl)...though I can fully understand why only guardians and weapons masters might use form 7.

Still, maybe open an 8th slot for one more lightsaber form??? (Anybody care to make a mod like THAT for K2?--is it even possible?)

For example, we all suspect or know Han Solo was an imperial soldier or something before he became a smuggler and a scoundrel. I love how he took that IMP. scout by the arm and threw the guy over his shoulder to the ground.

Not sure, but, I'd call Luke a laborer/mechanic (tech expert) to Jedi sentinel.

The former is obvious. Latter, well, he didn't seem (in the films) like he used his powers a WHOLE lot. He did use them, though.

He used the lightsaber quite a lot--though perhaps not expertly, I wouldn't call him a guardian. He also, in a way, ferreted out the Emperor's deceit to what little was left of Anakin Skywalker. And it worked.

I'd call Yoda a Jedi Master, thouh I am not sure what he was before that--especially if he was a "Master of Ataru". Perhaps the class-to-form thing doesn't hold after KOTOR 2???

Quinlan Vos. Hmm, not sure. Really not. Uses his powers quite a bit like a consular, even has a green blade like one. However, He knew Ataru and Djem So, and if memory serves me correctly, shien variant (inverted). Also, he was a practitioner who learned basics of Vaapad from Sora Bulq--later re-trained and frequently warned by Master Windu about the dangers of using Vaapad. So as you can see, quite a swordsman as well.

Master Windu: I suspect Jedi Guardian to Jedi Master. He invented/improved lightsaber form 7. Plus he could move many tons of dirt with his powers. Plus using his fighting style as a power to reflect force lightning?--sounds like something beyond a normal brute. He was diplomatic first.

R2-D2: Expert droid. It's obvious.

Count Dooku: Though hailed as an expert duelist, he used powers to great effect, and used power of persuasion as well as manipulation. I'm stumped. I want to say sentinel to Sith Lord.

Anakin/Vader: Guardian/Sith Lord

That's just for starters.

Do you think classes could have been eliminated/created after the Ruusan Reformation?

What? I mean, I know what you're going on about... it just seems kind of strange.

You hadn't wondered at least once???

Is chewbacca a scout?

What class would Shaak Ti actually be?

How about Tarfull? Wookiee Berserker?

Princess Leia...well...princess of course.

Hell, feel free to expand all the way back to the ruusan reformation, or as far forward as the Legacy Series.

What would Jan Ors be?

Kyle Katarn?

EDIT: perhaps a bit redundant, but feel free to go as whacky as you want to as well. This is also meant to be comical.

I'd like to see it again where Jae Onasi hits her head on the wall at some ridiculous picture of jarjar's face on leia's body in the dancing slave outfit...

::FORCE HORROR to Jae Onasi--injecting that picture into Jae's mind::

I never got the whole applying stats to characters from outside the game, it's impossible to say what someone is in 6 numbers (especially if CHA is both how good you look and your force of personality) and a class. I have yet to hear anyone in a movie get into a fight and say "****, I only have 2 spells left for the day" or whip out a book and start choosing his next feat.

No, I haven't, and don't care much either.

So long as they are UB3R P\|//\|4G3 I don't really think about it.

OK. I understand horsey dude--ya just want to ---EPIC---WIN---!!!!!!!!!!!

Shhak Tit--I mean, Shaak-Ti. :dev9:

Thank you for at least some measure of seriousness.

I look at some of the characters. They stick way out from that 'norm'. I suppose that's what interested me initially. Enough to make this thread anyhow. I suppose I have to agree when you put it that way. Maybe the whole broad vague "powerful" description applies?

----------

Whatever the case. Thank you Prime.

I guess the question there would be for you, do you agree or disagree with any part of it? What would you change?

I hate my keyboard...stupid keys stick when you least expect them too...any way...no i have never played the Force Unleashed...and yes...Shaak Ti (Spelled it right that time) could have possibly been a Jedi Watchman...I didn't catch the typo until around 10:50...I was traveling all day and did not have access to a computer to correct the typo

Lando was a Scout

Darth Vader was a Guardian

Emperor Palpatine was a Consular

Zhar was a Consular

Vrook was a Guardian

Obi-wan Kenobi was a Guardian

Ben-wan Kenobi? was a Consular

Luke was a Sentinal

Windu was a guardian

The Apprentice/Galen Marek, thats a tough one... I think he was a Consular

Leia was a Scout

Anakin was a Sentinal

Grievous was a Guardian

Qui-gon was a Consular

C3-P0 was a Minion

Boba Fett was a Scout

Obi-wan (Ben) Kenobi - guardian/watchman

Anakin Skywalker - guardian/marauder

Luke Skywalker - scout/sentinel

Palpatine - consular/lord

Yoda - consular/master

Mace Windu - guardian/weapon master

Han Solo - scoundrel

Chewbacca - Wookie :xp:

Leia - scoundrel/consular

Darth Maul - guardian/assassin

General Grievous - soldier/battle droid?

Jango Fett - bounty hunter

Boba Fett - bounty hunter

That's all I care to think of. As for my reasons, think about it, it'll become apparent.

MMM. okay. I suppose windu could be a weapons master.

Darth Maul, while he may have been sent to 'assasinate', he was much more of an "animal"--or so it is viewed by much of the EU. For that reason and that he was a brute, I'd call him a marauder.

Greivous...mmm, I'd say slight correction: Battle Cyborg--remember, he wasn't ALL droid...though according to count dooku being more machine than...(whatever he was) is an improvement considering how vile-natured he was. (ROTS novel, Mathew Stover). Just as inhumane, evil, and snaky as palpatine but much less clever.

Yeah, I thought a while about the Darth Maul one. I think he was trained as an assassin, and simply preferred his guardian style.

As for the Grievous one, I mostly said that because I was trying to stick to the classes in KOTOR and SWG.

Thought of another:

Qui-gon Jinn - guardian/master

This opinion is more based on Liam Neeson than strictly on Qui-gon.

Similar to sion in a way. I think sion was a marauder who lead assasins. I also think he used the Juyo lightsaber form. By the way he fought and acted, plus the experience of fighting him--his form was very good at dueling but weak vs force powers.

Maul preferred his double bladed variant of Juyo.

--A ferocity apparently I imitate as well in acts or duels when using a staff or glaive.

Ah. OK. My bad :xp:

Meh, valid as any.

I'd say, yeah. He was actually regarded as one of the best Ataru masters alive next to Yoda. Dooku was quite a swordsman and it rubbed of on his apprentice: Qui-gon always came across as more of a scrapper, than the wiseman type. At least in the film.

My 2 cents:

Yuthura Ban: Slave/Guardian/Sith Master/Jedi Master

Kyle Katarn: Soldier/Guardian

Kavar: Guardian/Weapons Master (Obviously)

Obi-wan Kenobi: Guardian/Watchman

Shaak-ti: Councilor / Jedi Master (She was not much for field work)

Aayla Secura: Guardian

Luke Skywalker: Councilor in the novels

Anakin SW/Vader: Guardian/Sith Marauder... (brute strength, all fighting, no brains)

Vash: Guardian/Jedi Master

Vrook: Councilor... and not a very good one at that.

Windu: Guardian/Weapons Master

Zez Kae Ell: Watchman

I see Kyle Katarn could have been a weaponsmaster for obvious reasons,

Yuthura Ban I see as a watchman

I see Kenobi as a Jedi master, I just can't see him as anything else.

Secura= Guardian

Vader...I can only see him as a sith apprentice

Vash...maybe a watchman

Vrook. Obviosuly a jedi master

I see windu as a weapon master

Edit: Just thought of one.

Mara Jade as A Jedi watchman,

Jan Ors as a spy

and Count Dooku as a Sith Marauder

Once again combined a post that was completely unnecessary to make a new post for. -RH
