edlib
are you saying you have a 360, or you don't get my sarcasm?Or he's avoiding the 360-heavy conversations we have been having lately... Party last night was OK. Low key. Pizza and bowling. (Candlepin.) I did better than most at the bowling... though not as good as I would have liked. One guy from down south who had never played Candlepin before broke 100 on his first try. Freaked us all out... Went out and updated my dress clothes wardrobe yesterday. I realized that my newest suit was almost 10 years old, and that I haven't owned a real pair of dress shoes since before I moved in here. (2001) So between taking 2 big-money days off from work, buying a wedding gift, and all new formal clothes, this wedding has set me back quite a bit, personally. I better have a great time today... that's all I'm saying.
Kuuki
are you saying you have a 360, or you don't get my sarcasm? what i'm saying is that the thread as of late has become more of a "hey want to hook up later?" sort of thread aside from that, there really isnt anything big happening with me the past few days other then withdrawing from chem, cus it sucks, like I care about net ionic equations and skipping class yesterday, cus I only had the one class, intro to comp science. where they're talking about OS's glad I got the standing permission from the professor to only show up during quizzes and labs

Keyan Farlander
Last night I played some Guitar Hero Metallica with some friends from work. All of Metallica's songs sound alike, and that one song is bad, but playing it in Guitar Hero (on Expert, of course) was freaking ridiculous. We did it because there's a guy at work who recently moved to the U.S. and he was curious about it, after seeing so many YouTube videos of people playing, so he bought the game, and before he decided what sets of instruments he wanted to purchase, we decided to get together so he could play the game and test out his options. I think he liked my Rock Band guitars the best. We actually had two 360s going right next to each other on two big screen HDTVs. One was playing Guitar Hero, the other was playing Boarderlands. Add in some pizza and you've got a pretty fun evening. Also mowed the lawn today, hopefully for the last time this year. Also, I purchased a boxset of the complete Mozart operas on 44 CDs. It rocks. edlib
Also, I purchased a boxset of the complete Mozart operas on 44 CDs. It rocks. I imagine so... though that sounds like a lot to get through. The wedding was... OK. Didn't have a horrible time... but I also can't say I was having the time-of-my-life, either. With the groom being a metal-head guitar player, it was a "rock" themed wedding... which was more fun than many I've attended. At least the DJ music was all stuff I recognized. So... if I understand the tradition correctly... I am to be the next of the single gentlemen that were there to get married. I insisted there was a colossal cosmic mistake, and I actually handed the garter back to the groom for a re-do. No... it went to me. I didn't even catch it... nobody did. But it was touching my foot when all was said-and-done. I felt kinda bad too... because the boyfriend of the girl who caught the bouquet was the only non-deadbeat sleazebag musician in the crowd of "single guys." He was the only one who actually put the slightest bit of effort into catching it as well... I felt like I stole his thunder. (Not to mention: felt up his girlfriend, while I was at it... when I had to put the garter on her leg. ) I left right after that... didn't think there would be another "high point" to the night that could top that. Plus I have to work in the morning. I might actually have some pics to post of me in a suit,.. sans hat and vest (and currently, sans beard as well...) at some point. Keyan Farlander
Yeah, I was wondering what the vest situation was going to be. Would you, like, just wear it over your suit or would you wear it like you would wear the vest of a three-piece suit... I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed. Rogue15
i got to see a dead kid today. i thought it was a joke since it's just after halloween....but then i saw the casket and examined it (was covered in letters from kids that drew their notes and such on the casket, one included a picture of a boy being hit by a car) anyway then i see the kid in the casket and i'm like 'wtf is this real or some kind of sick joke?' then i see the casket in the funeral home. talk about a moment of 'wtf'. the lady didnt come back to pick the pictures up. probably a good thing. i'm off tomorrow...... Keyan Farlander
^ You would have saved me a lot of horror (and confusion) if you had mentioned these were pictures you were developing at the start of your post.

It would have saved a lot of trouble figuring out where to carry my wallet, cell-phone, sunglasses, and keys. Suit coat pockets just weren't intended for the amount of crap I have to truck around with me. It's been a very long time since I've been that uncomfortable in public. Rogue15
ran a mile and a half at the track today. 12 minutes, 40 seconds. i wanna get that time down to 12 minutes. it was hotter out than what i'm used to...and of course there were people up there playing football in the middle of the track so i kinda got distracted (didnt feel like getting hit in the head with a football) and decided not to push 2 more laps since i'll be going out running again tomorrow....hoping for 40-50 degree weather. playing through ODST on legendary. i'd be on xbox live, but the router isn't working. my friend said he'd sell me his so i just gotta get that from him. or i'll buy a brand new one. (which i'll probably end up doing..) the main thing i hate about ODST's campaign is the constant darkness(daylight glare on the screen FTW there)+the annoying music. edlib
My wireless router croaked this morning. I'll have to pick up a new one tonight. Fortunately this was a super cheap one, so it's not a huge loss. Everyone tells me the Apple AirPorts are nice. I guess I'll take a look at them today... Zargon
more awesome news about how lame infinity ward is. no leaning, no console, no kick or ban from mp matches client side. you actually as the host cannot kick a player from a game they also avoid saying anything about LAN support
edlib
I'm looking at this. 1 terrabyte drive, wireless USB hub, and 802.11n... $279 (w/ my educational discount.) Seems worth it. I paid more than that for an external drive that holds less, and doesn't have the other things. I'll go to the mall and take a look at it tonight. But the AirPort Express looks pretty good, too... Only $99 with my discount. That's probably the simplest solution for what I need

K_Kinnison
spent yesturday evening with my lady. cooked her some picadillo for supper and then... cuddle time. Had to go to bed early tho since we were getting up at 3:30am so I could take her to the airport. She is now in Richmond VA and is going to come back Sunday. Right now I have her car, and a curling iron in my bathroom. She also left a bag which I will probably sneak a peak inside tonight. Friday is her birthday... she won't be here. But I gave her a really nice card, and a present she is going to open later
