Drewton
Finally, I was wondering if anyone would like to help re-UV-map the models for Darth Nihilus, Atton Rand (face only), Mandalore, and the Sith trooper, so that both sides could be textured. Credit would be given. I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to add a new texture image to the lightsaber ignition animation. I'd like to add a lens flare as it activates. Looked at the forum rules, seems to be okay to bump...just bumping my requests/question. Any help would be really appreciated.
Kyr'am Galaar
Didn't Mono_Giganto make that flickering lightsaber blades mod??? You should ask him.
Rtas Vadum
Didn't Mono_Giganto make that flickering lightsaber blades mod??? You should ask him. He did, but i don't know if adding anything is possible on the texture. The "animation" is the same as it is for the any of the animated textures, in that its just the same texture a certain amount of times, with the intensity changed for each frame. TriggerGod
I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to add a new texture image to the lightsaber ignition animation. I'd like to add a lens flare as it activates. Unfortunately, we haven't figured out how to do that without having the lens flare be there permanently. If you tried to add a lens flare effect behind the texture (just deleting the parts that aren't the actual blade) in photoshop, there will be a lens flare effect surrounding the entire blade. We're stuck with the current effects, or lack there of.
The_Dark_Jedi_Malaka
Wow.....just....wow... ^^; I've been away for far too long...bu the re-skin of Malak is amazing!! *fantasizes about how amazing it will look on her new computer at home* *drools* Sadly, my version of TSL crapped out on me...probably from multiple re-installs/uninstalls...the one cd can't be read... But hopefully if i get another copy, when this mod is finished....it'll be sooo....amazing... Keep up the good work man!

And also to McFallout and Malaka - great to see someone who's been commenting since the beginning still interested in this! I do feel bad that people have been so excited for this and I've taken so long. I really have gotten quite a lot done, I would just like to show my next update in a big preview. My current TSLMIM project folder is at 9.95 GB. This weekend I got two major skins done - Mandalore and the Disciple, both in 2048x2048px, and am now focusing on Dantooine. Christmas Break will be a great opportunity to work on this...maybe a trailer by the end of the year is possible? Even if not a long one, I feel like I need to have some video preview. EDIT: Forgot to add that I've just seen that some people have tried to message me while my infobox has been full. It's now cleared. Sorry about that. thegreatjoshini
Good luck, Drewton. I plan on downloading this one as soon as it is completed. Oh and do you have any idea about what the size of the download might be when this mod is completed?
Lord of Hunger
Sounds very good, Drewton! Hundreds of mouthwatering HD skins.... However, will Filefront accept that big a mod? Even compacted it'll probably be bigger than BOSSR and probably a problem for people with slow internet connections.... Suggestion: Maybe you should release these skins in categories. For example, have a TSLMIM Force Power Reskin Pack, a TSLMIM Generic NPC Reskin Pack, etc..
FaZzZa99
Or you could try for the record of single largest mod, lol

Oh and do you have any idea about what the size of the download might be when this mod is completed? I'm hoping for less than 4 GB uncompressed, lol...so it doesn't take over 24 hours to download. It's not actually going to be 9 GB when it's done - the folder also includes a lot of PSDs and various versions of textures. Hopefully the actual releaste won't be anywhere near that. Just to show some progress, here's a comparison of the vanilla version of Mandalore compared to an early unfinished version of mine (nothing except the body armor and shoulderpads had been done then). Although I completely redid it, I haven't changed the design itself whatsoever. It's basically a more detailed, higher resolution version. Hopefully the actual releaste won't be anywhere near that. I see. I imagine it'll still probably be around 2 GBs though. You are more than doubling the size of each texture. Given that textures are a big chunk of TSL's innate game files, I imagine this'll add at least somewhat more than the game's vanilla file size to the override. However, the idea of having TSL be in HD makes it completely worthwhile. I have only rated you all a genius modder. I should be rating you as...a God of Texturing? Anyway, I'll stop stroking your ego now.

Lex.mkr
I've recently bought a new computer with a high-end graphics card, so bring on TSLHD! EDIT: How's the progress? Are there many things on the to-do list?
Xarwarz
An idea for your texture size problem i just discovered 2 days ago is to compress the textures into the DDS format. then on the user end convert them back to TGA. The file conversion i used was Xnview An example i took one of my texture project folder from 150mb down to 25mb which compresses to 19mb when you rar or zip. Just an idea
Quoll
Great job on everything Drewton! Definitely looking forward to the final version. One question though...can you separate the party npc/pc reskins from everything else? It would be good to be able to use your mod without losing the ability to swap in others npc/pc mods. The_Dark_Jedi_Malaka
Alright, thanks for the reply. And also to McFallout and Malaka - great to see someone who's been commenting since the beginning still interested in this! Awww.... Thanks a bunch, Drewton. I've been super busy with failing college [my addiction to the internet will be the death of me] and other miscellaneous things... As for Mandalore's armor....HOLY SHIP! It looks so amazing... I asked my bf for another copy of KoTOR 2 as well as a copy of KoTOR Maybe this time, I can play through the game without it lagging cause of my craptastical 10+ year old graphics card! Merry Belated Christmas everyone. And to Drewton, don't worry about making me wait. It's coming along so well, I'd hate to see you rush through it, and ignore details.
