Of course americans who are getting hard to even get naked while changing clothes might find it odd, but here going to a sauna naked with complete strangers (etc in a spa or a swimming hall) is considered completely normal. Actually if you went to a sauna wearing something you would probably be looked at with a few unbelieving, amused glances and hear somebody maybe say "turisteja... ei varmaan edes heitä vettä kiukaalle..." Which means "tourists.. They probably wont even throw water on the stones" followed by "katotaan kuinka kauan ne pysyy. Kuka heittää?" meaning "Lets see how long they can stay here *devilish grin*.
