Sabretooth Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Lately we've been organising LAN parties in class, with the approval of our instructor and it's terrific fun, even if we're limited to 3 on 3 matches. We started out with Counter-Strike, as it's the most popular game around here, but we then went to Call of Duty, which we've come to like over CS. Now I'm a little bored of CoD and new maps just don't cut it, we need something else. So we're looking for an FPS game that will run on onboard Intel graphics. For a hint, Call of Duty works splendidly on it, but Call of Duty 2 gave us a video error. Has to be a LAN multiplayer game obviously, but more importantly, it has to be fun on a scale of 3 vs. 3 match-ups. Use of cunning and strategy preferred over raw speed testosterone fights as in Quake III or Unreal Tournament. A plus will no respawn games, like CS or CoD. That's really just because they end up being so intense and leave no margin of error, however. What do you people have for me?
JediAthos Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Starcraft!!! oh you said FPS...hmmm....Halo maybe or the original Rainbow Six. thought of another one: the original Ghost Recon.
Sabretooth Posted February 1, 2010 Author Posted February 1, 2010 Halo, good thinking. I ought to have thought of that before, I just can't get the Halo-Xbox association out of my mind. That sounds like a good one to try. Oh and by the way, graphics should be on par with Call of Duty. :/ I know, I know.
jrrtoken Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 What a fulfilling and most certainly academic education you have, Sabre. Oh, and Quake 3/Jedi Academy. T_T
mur'phon Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Battlefie 1942 (you might want to stick to small maps)
Ctrl Alt Del Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Halo, as said before. It works great on small teams.
Rogue Nine Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Alien vs. Predator. Super cheapy on Steam right now, as a matter of fact.
Samuel Dravis Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 Descent. This! You can't trichord in those lame groundpounder games!
