TiE23
>.< Chrome's Adblock Plus has an issue with the deviantART notification system. It's a real hassle and aaaalmost making me want to switch back. But I think being able to have 20 tabs open without any slowdown is worth it. And I can always just turn adblock on and off when I'm on dA. Add an exception for dA. I don't know about Chrome, but how I would do it in Firefox: Go to Preferences, click on the options menu, check "Show in Status Bar". When that's there, visit dA, right click on the ABP icon and right click and add an exception for the website...
MrWally
Ah, thanks. I saw that in the options menu and I tried to configure it to dA, but it wasn't working. I just did a bit more digging and found that I had to specify "my.deviantart.com/messages/" for it to work. Yay! It was kind of silly to block dA anyways because as a Premium Member I don't get any ads in the first place >.>
leXX
*bumpage* Firefox was taking forever to load for me lately, so I decided to finally give Google Chrome a go and I'm so glad I made the switch. It's so much faster than Firefox. It's easy to import all your bookmarks too.
Lynk Former
I can't see it when people saying "Chrome is faster than Firefox" they both load up at the same speed for me and the pages all load exactly the same way... I can't tell the difference.

I can't tell the difference. It's fine once it's open, the problem is the amount of time it takes to open in the first place. Chrome takes like 2 seconds, whereas Firefox was taking a good minute with me and I finally had enough. Maybe it's just me though...
acdcfanbill
mine is open for days at a time so startup is not really an issue for me
Lynk Former
@ leXX: Like I said, Firefox and Opera both open at the same speed for me, so it is strange to hear that it take A MINUTE to open. I mean, not even Photoshop on my really crappy ye old machine from years back took that long to open.
TiE23
Actually, Firefox has been playing nice for me lately. Through October the stuff never stopped ****ting the bed. But so far this month it's been pretty smooth. I use Chrome as my secondary browser, especially on my netbook where it starts up much quicker than Firefox.
