Casting Call: Star Wars: The Sith Resurrection Part VII: A Glimmer of Hope

Two months have passed since the Battle at Setna, and the tide seems to be turning in the Republic's favour. Darth Virul has been destroyed once for all, the Blood King has been defeated, and Tyrannus has disappeared once again. The New Empire is withdrawing, and the Republic is reclaim its lost territory. Andorra Evenstar, freed from the influence of Darth Virul, is out of hospital, and is now in a relationship with Dr. Lenatha Pradhes. Kalla Kaltas has been knighted, and has been dating Tonatius Iazoki for the past two months. Her father, Komad Kaltas, has come to terms with the loss of his wife, and is in a relationship with Iyav Dourden, who has left his job at Huntau Station to work for Republic Intelligence. All seems well, but a certain derelict Star Destroyer could change everything...

Description:

Backstory: Skilled in both lightsaber combat and diplomacy, Komad has bested numerous Sith Lords in battle, but has not personally killed any. When given the chance to kill Darth Virul at Bastion, he decided not to, knowing that Virul was more dangerous dead than alive. However, the decision was taken out of his hands, and Virul escaped anyway. A year after the loss of his wife, Komad became romantically involved with Iyav Dourden, a former smuggler working as a security trainee at Huntau station. He then travelled to Setna and aided in freeing Andorra Evenstar from the clutches of Darth Virul. Following Iyav's joining Republic Intelligence, they acquired a stock freighter named the Silver Eagle, and started working together, and were recently sent by Supreme Commander Leana Belina to investigate the disappearance of the Republic Star Destroyer Cygnus.

Instead of wearing a traditional Jedi Tunic, Kalla wears a black sleeveless tunic, which also shows some cleavage, and a short skirt instead of typical pants.

Backstory: Kalla was born at the end of the Resurrection War to Komad and Greea Bodonawieedo Kaltas. In her Jedi training, she focused on the Niman lightsaber form, which eventually allowed her to defeat Andirrul in lightsaber combat. A year ago, she met and fell in love with Andorra Evenstar, princess of the Avalon system, after her mother, the governor, was kidnapped by Darth Virul, but lost her after Andorra, in a fit of rage, killed Virul and became his new host. Two months ago, she entered into a relationship with Andorra's cousin Tonatius Iazoki. At Setna, she tricked Virul into thinking she would offer herself in Andorra's place, and destroyed his spirit when he tried to take it. After Andorra was freed, they did not resume their relationship, and Kalla remained with Tonatius. Following her ordeal on Setna, the Jedi Council deemed her ready to granted the title of Jedi Knight.

Backstory: After a somewhat unsuccessful smuggling career, Iyav decided to try his hand at security work, and got a job at Huntau Station, which proved to be less to his liking than he initially thought. Then he met Komad Kaltas, who inspired him to lead a resistance at Huntau against invading New Imperial forces. After being defeated, Iyav broke his fellow security guards out of the brig of Velerc's flagship, and sabotaged Khorzan Velerc's plans. After making his way to Setna in a stolen New Imperial shuttle, he aided in keeping Andorra Evenstar alive until they could get her to a proper hospital. After that ordeal, he left his job at Huntau Station, and started working for Republic Intelligence.

 

There's a few posts worth of stuff left to be made in Part VI, so I speculated a little. However, it should be done by the time this is ready.

38 ABY - Centerpoint Station is used to move Tython from the Deep Core to the borders of Known Space. Due to the Second Corellian Insurrection, Centerpoint Station is destroyed before Tython can be returned to its proper place.

 

50 ABY - The Galactic Federation of Free Alliances is reorganised into the Third Galactic Republic.

 

63 ABY - A massive Droid Army, known as the Imperium of Machine and comprised of reactivated CIS units and various other battle droids, and led by the reactivated HK-47, declares war on the Republic. The Great Droid War begins.

 

64 ABY - Almalexia, Princess of Aztlan is caught selling secrets to the Imperium of Machine, stripped of her title, and allegedly killed by Jedi Knight Hethra Iazoki. Dar Bodonawieedo, future Dark Lord of the Sith is born on Corellia.

 

65 ABY - Vice Chair Kaité Naberrie is taken hostage by the Imperium of Machine and held on Mustafar, only to be rescued by the Jedi Knights Alkonium Kaltas, Hethra Iazoki, and Isomah Enu. Isomah Enu seemingly destroys HK-101, HK-47's second in command. Alkonium Kaltas destroys HK-47. The Great Droid War ends. Isomah Enu falls to the Dark Side on Mygeeto, becoming Darth Frigidus, apprenticed to Darth Khilbron.

 

66 ABY - The Sith return to known space, declaring war on the Republic. Former Vice Chair Kaité Naberrie is elected Chief of State. The Resurrection War begins.

 

67 ABY - The Sith blockade Coruscant and attempt to massacre the Jedi Temple. Ben Skywalker, Blai Secura Kaltas, and Kalla Vel are the only survivors. Kamino is liberated from the Sith by Ben Skywalker. Darth Frigidus is redeemed on Korriban by Alkonium Kaltas, and reclaims his old identity of Isomah Enu. Darth Khilbron is killed over Coruscant and the blockade is destroyed. Komad and Alkéa Kaltas are born. Darth Virul, Darth Khilbron's other apprentice claims the title of Dark Lord of the Sith and continues the War against the Republic, recruiting countless Force Sentitives to the Sith cause.

90 ABY - Taris is liberated by the Republic, only to be decimated by the Sith. Darth Mortis is revealed to be restoring the crippled Death Star. Komad Kaltas is promoted to Jedi Master, but is soon taken captive by the Sith, following a failed mission on Dantooine.

Backstory: As a young girl, Lenatha was sold to Jamiro the Hutt on Nar Shaddaa. Jamiro had a sadistic taste when it came to pleasuring himself with the slave girls, and for this reason Lenatha began to have an aversion towards males. She was in her early teenage years (according to humans) when she met Ariel, a human woman who was slightly older than her, and the first one she had felt attraction towards. When their relationship was discovered, Jamiro forced Lenatha to watch as he ravaged and tortured Ariel to death. Being able to channel her emotions naturally, she channeled her hatred and grief towards her vengeance. She studied everyday the anatomy of alien species, most specifically the hutts, and she came in contact with a mercenary who taught her how to interrogate subjects with the use of torture and excruciating pain. She practiced this on the animals they sacrificed to feed Jamiro. She planned this for 2 years and during a raid by trandoshan mercenaries, Lenatha carried out her plan. The Trandoshan leader, having a great hatred towards Jamiro let Lenatha have her way with him. She tortured him in a way that even the Trandoshan's had to look away. The scene was gruesome and she made him feel the largest amount of pain without letting him pass out or die.

She finally killed him and left Nar Shaddaa with the Trandoshan Mercenaries and dropped her off at Coruscant where the Trandoshan Leader put a word for her with the chief medical officer. Recognizing her talents, she was taken in and found her place as a doctor. She suffers sometimes from recurring nightmares of the past where she is torturing Jamiro. She feels an enourmous regret and even sometimes found herself waking up and not knowing her surroundings, she avoids contact and begins crying, rubbing her hands as if they were stained and saying the words "I'm so sorry". She treated Andorra Evenstar and finally found in her a kindred spirit and the peace she had been looking for ever since Ariel.

Title: One of the best warriors in Mandalorian Culture, Merc

 

Weapon: Garrick loves using cortosis blades and many assorted weapons {flamethrowers, rocket launchers, darts, blasters} on his wrist launchers. Garrick always carries two modified Mandalorian Rippers, that and he always has a pack of cigarra's with him {good when you need a distraction}

 

DOB: Unknown, though it is believed to be around 70 to 80 A.B.Y.

 

Description: Garrick wears black Mandalorian armor and sports a bright red cloth from his shoulder. He also carries with him several trophies {wookiee scalps, battle scars, several knives, and an Imperial medal}. He also wears a jet pack capable of 1 minute of being airbourne {and provide fuel to his flamethrowers}.

 

Garrick, for a time, hated alot of the aruutisse, outsiders, and had little tolerance for them. But after his last attempt to take a bounty{Komad}, he was captured, and spent some time getting used Kaltas and his comrades. He has developed tolerance and has begun to accept and rather like the outsiders. He hopes to get to know his new allies, as he may need that in the coming battle.

Species: Human, though considered to be apart of a race that is referred to as "Super-human" during the Imperial days.

Homeworld: Corulag, and he's part of a family that has long been in support of Imperial Forces, and the Sith.

Title: He has attained the rare rank of Senior Grand Admiral

 

Weapons: The Sith Fleet, a small vibro-knife, and an Aratech type-B pistol capable of over 50 rounds a second, unfortunately only holding one hundred rounds.

 

Dob: N/A, though theories say he may have been born around the Battle of Hoth.

 

Description: He strides around the Sith forces in a black Admiral's uniform that has red lining the sides. He has a great number of medals, only a few that he wears often. He also has Sith-standard black combat boots, where he also hides a grenade or two. His face has no sharp features other than his thick, black mustache and a scar that covers the entirety of his left cheek and a little bit of his face.

 

Brief History: Admiral Velerc has fought at almost one-thousand different Naval engagements, his amount of victories however, are countless. He has proven his genius many times, once during an engagement with the whole of a Republic battle group. His group only had one old Star-Destroyer and three frigates. In the end, the huge Republic battle group of at least ten Capital ships was decimated and only half of a fighter squadron survived the onslaught. Admiral Velerc has almost always been affiliated with Sith high command.

Description: He is 6'2' with black hair, brown eyes, and striking features. He wears gray-green Mandalorian armor with a red shoulder pad, signifying his position in Mand'alor's Gaurds. Most of his weapons are visible, sword slung at his side and blaster always in hand. But he also has concealed weapons, like a knife in a boot, or a blaster up his sleeve. He's nearly always prepared.

 

Brief History: Durrel was raised at birth to become one of the future Mand'alor's Chief Adviser and Bodygaurd, going through rigorous training and strenuos classes. After many years, he was assigned to Garrick Derekil, heir to the position of Mand'alor. He was immediatley taken under Garrick's wing, who taught Durrel many of the skills that greatly benefit Durrel today.

 

After several years of service protecting the future Mand'alor, Garrick had been captured on the Planet of Amshrey, and Durrel was tasked with rescuing Garrick. This lead tot he current events and the new Avalonian allies.

Weapon: Anything he can get his hands on, as of right now, he has no weapons.

DOB:Unknown, even to him, as imperials erased all files of his past, fully indoctrinating him into his position as Death Gaurd.

 

Appearance: He is extremely tall, nearly 7 foot. Asides from that, he is extremely muscular, as nearly all Death Gaurds are. He has blue eyes, and his head is completely clean-shaven. As a prisoner, he wears gray cover-alls, at least for right now.

 

Brief History: He was taken from his family as a child, and trained on numerous Imperial Planets. He was treated cruelly and was deprived of a cheery and happy childhood, as he had been chosen to become one of the Death Gaurd, the Personal 'Hands' of the Sith. He was thoroughly brainwashed as a child, and believed that the way of the Empire was the one way to true perfection. He began to form his own opinions much later in life, and began to question his place in the Imperial Forces. He even contemplated rebellion. But then he was given the order to kill Komad Kaltas, and his comrades. He sees this as his opportunity to find the 'truth' that has always eluded him.

Description: Tall, and pale like an Umbaran, he has a shaved head (hair is white, and feels like silk, doesn't grow beyond half an inch in length; a mix of having human hair, mixed with a species without hair) with Sith tattoos on said cranium. Has the toned build of a human that has gone its whole life training and exercising, but is still gaunt and lithe, showing some of his Umbaran blood. Has cold grey eyes, and has the same will perception, and influencing skills as an Umbaran, as well as their calculating gaze, but because of his human blood (and upbringing), he has a wider emotional spectrum.

Debriefing: Shortly after meeting Komad and his group of Jedi, Vector was forced to leave his long standing home of Jatalra for a year, to leave due to the ensuing events on said planet. He aided them in retrieving a Jedi's ancient lightsaber, and some holocrons, but due to slight mental instability, and paranoia, the half-blood kept the holocrons to himself. Soon after the group had reached a station ((I believe that's right)) the former 'Nex Venator-Sicarius' regressed to old habits, and stowed away on a ship, and left ((don't know what happened to, or what to do with the holocrons he had, so I'll leave that ambiguous for now)).

 

Nearly a month later, Vector was imprisoned by Imperial forces, held there for such a long period of time until a skilled member - most likely a 'Nex Arbitrator', the second highest class among the 'Nex Venators', and one class above Vector's (Thus more skilled, they can only assume) - of the 'Nex Venators' could come and successfully, and safely escort him to the 'Nex Fovia', primary facility of the 'Nex Venators', to be imprisoned, punished, and then brainwashed back into service.

 

Another month has passed since his imprisonment, and Vector has been, re-instituted back into the 'Nex Venators'. Physically, mentally, and even emotionally tortured, Vector is now a freethinking brainwashed 'Nex Sicarius', and one of the most skilled among his kind. As his torture, and brainwashing occurred, the 'Nex Venators' came across the knowledge of Vector's meeting with Komad, and his group, and have sent Vector after them, trusting in their skills of brainwashing to stick, he is to be their assassin, to end them. ((Although we all know that won't happen, it'll still be interesting to see! Let's just hope someone can bring him out of his brainwashed state. ))

Guess what. I've got pictures now! Obviously said images are over exaggerated a bit, and unnaturally formed, but that's simply the style of drawing used. He is just as built as you see him in the torso image, though. Obviously his right hand/arm isn't really black like that, that was just dramatic lighting on my part. Also, YES, I know the pre-capture clothing appearance looks similar to Ezio, or Altair from Assassin's Creed [2], but trust me when I say this, the clothes are original.

 

One more picture/image to go, will be post-capture clothing, and will come later, when I've got an idea as to what I want them to look like!

 

Alright, last picture/image is in! Was one the best edits I've done, too! Kinda came up with the look off the top of my head, since fashion/clothing isn't my fortay, so there are probably some outside influences in there. One influence I can see most notably is the neck guard, which resembles a Turian's armor from Mass Effect [2], but believe me, as I said with the Rogue Clothes, it's as original as my mind could conjure. By the way, yes, that is a gold cord hanging from his eye, he's got eye covers on.

 

The symbol on his neck guard in the Post-Capture image is the universal image to signify the 'Nex Venators', and more subtly the image that directly represents the 'Nex Venators' belief/philosophy of the 'Nex Orbis'.

Description: His outfit is similar to that of Kun Lao from Mortal Kombat. Classic height at six feet. Hazel eyes, dirt blonde hair. Strongly muscled and capable of great flexibility and jumping.

Backstory: The youngest brother of Andros Starlighter, he is the last of the children born to the Jedi Ashira-Li Starlighter and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Born in a secret location during the years of terror for the Jedi, he moved around with his mother learning nothing of Jedi techniques but of the sentou abilities. He eventually did master some Jedi abilities but preferred to live in the anonymity of non-Jedi. He became a member of the Shimigami, the secret organization that were said to be the protectors of the Jedi Order. How or why that, it is not certain but Tavaryn firmly believes in protecting the Jedi Order from any threat of subterfuge. After the battle at Setna, he stuck around mainly for the benefit of Alriana in helping her understand this new world she was in. On occasion he takes off on a mission leaving few details. Backstory: The twin of Taryn and the son of Hethra and Almalexia, he followed Jun-la in the fight against the Blood King. After Andorra had been taken, he followed her with Kalla to Setna where he engaged in a showdown of the ancient powers learning he possessed and incredible amount of strength. It was at Setna that he admitted to his feelings for Kalla and after she tricked and destroyed Virul, kissed her. Now back on Coruscant, he carries out his duties for the Avalonian government, occasionally venturing to the temple to "train."

Backstory: Daughter of Andros Starlighter, she taught Greea and Komad's son to be a Jedi but left him at the temple when they left for Setna. Upon returning she continued training him until he was allowed tobecome a full Jedi Knight. She also returned in a relationship with the scoundrel Matton Rand. She now spends time training younglings and going out on assignments always at a state of readiness, as if expecting a battle any moment.

Backstory: Scoundrel and mercenary for hire, Matton was recruited back into service by Jun-la. Grudgingly he followed to Bastion and Setna, never engaging in actual battle but always on hand to give a shot or two at the enemy. A crack pilot, he remained on Coruscant in order to be near Jun-la and doing odd jobs for the Jedi and the republic in general. He gets along well with Tavaryn and they even joked about him becoming a Shimigami.

Description: Alriana wears a full body Jedi robe with a brown hooded cloak that covers her face in shadows. Underneath the cloak, she has brown eyes and blue/black hair.

 

Brief History: Alriana was born to a humble family and was taken by the Jedi council of old for Jedi training. She quickly grew to be strong with the force and was able to become moderatly good with a Lightsaber.

 

She was around ninteen when the clones stormed the temple and she barely managed to escape with her life. She managed to sneak aboard a tramp freighter and managed to escape to Wild Space and settle on a small planet a year later.

 

Ten years later, Two of the Emperor's inquisitors managed to track her to the planet she was on and engaged her in combat. She managed to defeat one of them before being knocked out and captured by the second one.

 

The second inquisitor dragged her aboard the transport they arrived on and put her in an experimental stasis pod to keep her from killing herself. The inquisitor was about to jump to hyperspace when the drive malfunctioned, killing the inquisitor and leaving Alriana stuck in deep freeze.

 

After nearly a hundred years in deep freeze Alriana was finally woken up by Komad Kaltas when his ship discovered the wreckage of the imperial transport she was in. At first she had trouble adjusting to the world after nearly a hundred years and she had trouble trusting others. She was also captured by Grand Admiral Velerc and managed to escape the ship with the help of Former Imperial Admiral Garja and Tavaryn. After helping to defeat the sith on the planet Setna, she is getting help from Tavaryn in adjusting to the new world.

Description: Garja wears a black Admiral uniform that he wears while he is on duty. Although he has quite a few medals he does not wear them in front of the crew. He carries a small customized Heavy Blaster pistol with him at all times. He has a scar running down across his left eye and another scar on the side of his neck. His eyes are an icey blue and he has no hair.

 

Brief History: Not that much is known about Garja except that he rose quickly through the ranks of the Sith due to his ability to examine a situation and quickly find a solution to the problems that were presented to him.

 

After his flagship was destroyed at Bastion he took command of another ship and managed to pick up a cloaking device from a pirate base which he delivered to the Grand Admiral of the Sith fleet shortly after a mutiny of his vessel. Shortly after stealing a shuttle and escaping to hyperspace Garja was able to meet up with Velerc's forces and then shortly after defected to the Republic side, escaping Velerc's flagship with Alriana and Tavaryn.

 

Shortly after the battle of Setna, Garja has accepted a position in the Republic fleet and is now serving under Admiral Belina as second in command of the Republic fleet.

Weapon: E-11 Blaster rifle that hangs on her wall until needed, Two Vibro knives, a Vibro-sword that hangs on her wall along with two old D-44 blaster pistols that also hang on her wall

Personality: Belina is quite calm when not in combat situations and is respectful towards the men and woman under her command at all times. However, when in combat situations she becomes focused on finishing the battle at all costs.

 

Abilities: She is a brilliant strategist who was able to destroy Admiral Garja's first fleet at the battle of Vergasso and she managed to fight Khorzan Velerc to a standstill earlier in the war.

 

Description: Much of Leana Belina's past is unknown due to living on the streets but one thing that is known about her is that she was one of the best students in the military academy. Her marks were always quite high and she was able to quickly shoot up through the ranks and eventually gained command of her own ship.

 

Soon after the war with the sith began, Belina was credited with the capture of two Pellaeon class star destroyers that were refitted and repaired and were drafted into her personal fleet.

 

She was eventuallly promoted to Admiral and then supreme commander of the Republic fleet.

 

Recent history: After confronting her father Grand Admiral Velerc at Hunaru station(Still not sure whats going on with that. Are we finishing the battle now or sometime in this arc?) and fighting him, the Ackbar was badly damaged and is now undergoing repairs. She has since taken on Admiral Garja as her second in command of the fleet and has sent Iyav Dourden and Komad Kaltas to search for one of her missing star destroyers.

Description: Atora wears a set of black and silver Mandalorian armor with a red cloak and has proven to be a dangerous opponet in the past due to his combat training. Although he wears Mandalorian armor and follows the mandalorian way he will not follow anyone unless they prove themselves superior to him. After briefly serving on the side of the New Empire he defected to the Republic side after being cheated out of his credits after leading an attack against Republic forces during the war.

 

After working for the republic for a few months, Atora lost his first ship in an Imperial attack and the Republic replaced it with a custom built ship equiped with a hyperdrive. As of now he is investigating a Republic distress call in an asteroid field with his other ship.

Description: Rejira Beroc was born on the world of Byss many years ago but no one knows his true age. He always supported the Imperial fleet even from a young age and joined the imperial fleet as an ensign.

 

Like Admirals Garja and Velerc he is a brilliant strategist. But unlike Garja, he has no sense of morality and thinks nothing of killing. He will not kill his own men however and encourages them to think on their own and to come up with their own ideas.

 

Shortly after the battle of Huntaru station he learned of Garja's defection and Velerc's disappearance and has assumed command of all Imperial forces and is readying them for another assault on the republic.

Brief History: Kurt was taken by the New Empire at a young age to become a member of the Death Guard. It was clear to see Kurt was good but he was also trouble. He resisted any method of brainwashing and refused to kill anyone who didn't have a weapon. After months of torture, he finally gave in and was injected with drugs to boost his abilities in all aspects. For a few years he served under the New Empire until he witnessed his first encounter with a jedi. He watched as the jedi defended himself and the civilians as well. Kurt was so impressed he actually dropped his weapon and saluted the jedi. Kurt's humanity was restored and he was able to leave the New Empire and join the Republic. He modified his helmet and changed his armor to green to make himself stand out for once.

History: Kerlos Minn was born in Coronet City, Corellia. Growing up in the city, Kerlos learned to be wary of others, though this has made others get the impression of a cold personality, while in reality, Kerlos is friendly, albeit quiet. Kerlos would later become a mercenary, though after seeing the deeds done by the Sith and the New Empire, decided to only work for the Republic and its allies. While he often completes his assignments promptly and effectively, he often causes much destruction to his surroundings in the process. However, he is talented and effective enough that the Republic still allows him to take assignments, despite the frustration and havoc Kerlos wreaks. While he owns many weapons, Kerlos only uses those needed for his current assignment. He wears a brown trench coat to conceal some of his smaller weapons.

Bio: As far as he knows, Haruka is an orphan and survived the mean streets of NarShadda. He has always been aware that he was different in his ability of quick reflexes. He learned that the only way to survive was to make it a priority. His companion is a small droid that stands knee high which a friend long dead from the Refugee Center built. He makes his living doing odd jobs for anyone with credits though he has his principles. Lately he has heard rumors that someone was looking for him though he doesn't know why.

Side Note: Unlike most assassin, Xan is actually force sensitive. This makes him far more efficient then most. Unlike most force sensitives he prefers using blasters and other weapons instead of traditional weapons like a lightsaber.
