Varrok
Do only I think that http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=4181836&id=78883723363 was much much better than http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=4189999&id=78883723363 ? It's more detailed, that's for sure
SyntheticGerbil
No, I agree with you completely, Varrok. is tons better than what we ended up with here Also the other three concepts seemed to keep making Elaine's legs stubby. So version 5 went with this but 4 did not. It's good to see someone really knows what they are doing because I think V4 looks amazingly great and now I'm going to just sit here and wish that Elaine were in the game. Aububuh
I honestly don't like either of those two Elaines, and I really REALLY wish that they'd kept the purple shirt; not to mention the general angry expression. Now she just looks like Indiana Jones's abandoned daughter.
Thrik
I think the angry expression works to be honest. I always saw the MI2 Elaine as a generally pissed-off person, though it's been so long since I played it I can't remember why. Didn't she basically hate Guybrush when he showed up at her new mansion? I have to say I'm not a fan of V4. It's a good piece of art but it doesn't really say 'Elaine' to me nor does it really fit into the MI2:SE. Looks more like an androgynous NPC in some Japanese RPG or something. I like V5 but that's one seriously big head she's got. ;
Aububuh
I always thought of her as more annoyed than flat out angry, but I guess it kind of works. I'm just hoping she doesn't sound quite as mad as she looks.

V4's not perfect, but she looks more like Elaine than that V5........thing..... BTW - she's now completely different than MI:SE version... it's not good, is it? The Tingler
I much prefer V4 to V5 too. I've just worked out who this picture reminds me of. (from Jim Henson's The Storyteller)
Kenko
I kinda liked V3 the most, except for the clothes.
Haggis
I kinda liked V3 the most, except for the clothes. Yeah, I prefer Elaine without clothes too... oh wait, that's not what you meant. Out of those two though (4 and 5), I vastly prefer 4.
Rosefull
4 was better than 5, but none of them (1-5) have quite hit the mark yet. There's just something distinctly Elaine-y that's been missing so far. But maybe I'm just being picky.
gos
elaine V4 is better than the others, guybrush V3 is better than the others
Kenko
V4 looks much better than V5, but the V4 face doesn't look like Elaine. And about Guybrush, I preffer V3 but V5 isn't that bat. It could have been a lot worse.

KestrelPi
What does Elaine's face look like? Far as I can tell we've had about 6 or 7 previous versions of it in previous games that are all quite distinct, not counting box art. I can't see how this latest version is so divergent from the previous half-dozen versions that it no longer looks like Elaine, whatever that means. I'm not a big fan of v5. I think it'll look better in-game but whatever. I just don't see how it's any less Elaine-y than any of the others we've grown accustomed to. SyntheticGerbil
(from Jim Henson's The Storyteller) Goodness, that's awful! The stubbiness alone!

The Tingler
What IS that thing anyway? It looks like a pig and a monkey were crossbred. Hehe, it's a Trollop (a female Troll) from Jim Henson's The Storyteller, from the episode 'The True Bride'. Spitting image.
Rosefull
Huh, I kind of want to check that out now. Thanks!
The Tingler
It was an excellent show. 'The Soldier and Death' is just brilliant, and for a Jim Henson production, the show got amazingly dark sometimes. Nothing whatsoever to do with Monkey Island, but an excellent show nonetheless! It does however have at least one Lucasfilm connection - Alison Doody, aka Elsa in Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade, plays the title character in the episode 'Sapsorrow' (based on one of the original, disturbing tales that eventually came together to become Cinderella). Threepwood4life
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/monkey-island-2-le-chucks-revenge/achievements/ Looks like you can see what logos represent each achievement now, this is a good sign its not far off from release as usually when this site gets achievements they seem to have an idea on when the game will be released from various sources. Rosefull
I'm thinking that Speed Demon challenge looks pretty fun. I was just about there after my second or third play through of SMI, after all.
LordTrilobite
Why the ****'d they add achievements? The original didn't have achievements and the new one shouldn't either. It's a ****ing adventure game! achievements are for multiplayer games!
Rosefull
It's just to add a little more flavor to the game, I guess. It doesn't do any harm, does it?
