mattig89ch Posted November 8, 2012 Author Posted November 8, 2012 of course...well, not really worth it to me. if they come out with something like sto's lifetime sub, i think i'll pick that up.
mimartin Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Cartel Coins $4.99 - 450 coins $9.99 - 1000 coins - 100 bonus $14.99 - 1600 coins - 250 bonus $19.99 - 2200 coins - 400 bonus $39.99 - 5500 coins - 1500 bonus Thanks to Dulfy and LordArtemis http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=552743 $9.99 does not sound like too much for the extra bars to me.
mattig89ch Posted November 12, 2012 Author Posted November 12, 2012 And thats permanent across all toons on the account? not just one side or the other? Btw, that list is something they should put up on the website somewhere.
Hassat Hunter Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 All this bar talk confused me until I read it was quickslot bars on the previous page. Didn't seem too bad with one bar in the lvl 15 trial, only going to 2 at the very end of it. Maybe later that may be different though, but with so many useless abilities, I wonder. Anyways, I definitely wont be paying just to access a quickslot bar, heh. Especially moddable as the HUD is I expect a mod for that anyway if it really becomes bothersome... silly limitations.
Obi-Wan Bologna Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Well, I ended up subbing yesterday so I can take advantage of the preffered player treatment. Not sure how that's gonna work, but I bet Im gonna end up paying more than if I had just waited and bought the extra stuff when its available lol but oh well
mattig89ch Posted November 13, 2012 Author Posted November 13, 2012 How large is the client nowadays? I know the STO client is up to 18 gigs.
JasraLantill Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 With 1.5 on the test server...It is becoming clearer what is meant by F2P and the difference between free and sub. http://dulfy.net/2012/10/23/swtor-cartel-market-items/ Am I reading that chart right? Even as as subscriber, I'll have to use Cartel coins, not the normal in-game credits, to unlock any further legacy abilities? That kind of sucks.
Lynk Former Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Am I reading that chart right? Even as as subscriber, I'll have to use Cartel coins, not the normal in-game credits, to unlock any further legacy abilities? That kind of sucks. You can use cartel coins OR regular credits to buy legacy stuff... you have a choice.
JasraLantill Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 You can use cartel coins OR regular credits to buy legacy stuff... you have a choice. *whew* That's a relief! Was thinking I was going to have to do all my dailies AND do a whole lot of slicing tonight to get all my legacy stuff before tomorrow! Thanks, Lynk.
Lynk Former Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 The cartel coin option for legacy items makes some things a lot more affordable than before... for example, the rocket boost and its upgrades are all a lot more reachable for a lot of people who use cartel coins to buy them instead of MILLIONS of credits.
mimartin Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Do dailies, get Rocket Boost...Simple. Now find me a simple affordable way to get Skill and Resolve armor for my belt and bracers...26 or higher.
Lynk Former Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 You make it sound so simple... do all of the dailies EVERY DAY for a long time... get rocket boost.
mimartin Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 http://www.torhead.com/ability/9VTJKLW/rocket-boost It is just some rocket boots that give you a little speed for those areas where you can not use a speeder. Great for toons that do not have any speed boost abilities like force speed.
mattig89ch Posted November 15, 2012 Author Posted November 15, 2012 so...how large is the client nowadays?
Eefluxx Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 someone the other day installing it mentioned it was 23 gigs, don't know if that is correct or not tho.
Obi-Wan Bologna Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 someone the other day installing it mentioned it was 23 gigs, don't know if that is correct or not tho. I think mine was closer to 25, but yeah, it's still a bit.
Scorge Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Its around 27 GB, pretty large game. Especially since it was in production for about 5 or 6 Years [Don't know exactly].
