back stateside...camp shelby is worse than kuwait as there is not much to do here but wait. went through a bunch of demob briefs and they all sucked but i did get some information that should come in handy after college for the job searching efforts...

trying to stay away from facebook as much as i can til i get home, its annoying just sitting around waiting for the day we leave and talking to people back home without being there is kind of annoying.

hopefully the gi bill and ta eap, etc. all kick in for me...

Nice weekend. Back to work. Slower week than last, thankfully.

I feel my life has really started to carve out a rut. I think that I really have to shake things up in a new way somehow... though I'm unsure exactly how to go about doing that.

I'll have to think about it...

i'm "home" now to practice patience and humility. fml while lmfao

We have some amish here. For a while they would be passing my house in a horse and cart on their way to a job. In fact, we have so many amish in the area that my wife needs to design roads with 10 foot shoulders for as a "Buggy lane"

Naw... this is the Lucas Knitting, Cross Stitch, and Crotchet forum. You are looking for the one called Monkey Island.

Thank me later...

Sooooo very tired. I've been getting crappy sleep all week, and it's caught up with me.

Good thing I start work at 8am tomorrow... that'll help. :dozey:

had 6 beers i guess at the casino. it was a good time, though the buzz wore off rather fast. only "lost" $10. haha. 5 coors light drafts and 1 yuengling draft funny how beer used to turn my stomach now it is same as drinking a soda. wtf lol

chilled with my girl the last few days, sucks that she's moving to cali so idk how long distance relationship is going to work or not, just being cool about it she's been fun to hang out with the last 2 days i been back. real help to getting reacquainted with the area without that 'all alone' feeling i was somewhat expecting. we just been joking around and stuff idk if it will end up a serious relationship or not but whatever i have too many good things going that if it doesn't work out it won't be 'end it all' mode..lol

i love the cold weather here lol i can breathe again!!!!!!!! (cold weather= any temp below 80 degrees with no humidity!)

some of you might know E3 is the primiere place for video games. For board and card gamers Gencon Indy is the same. usually a lot of game companies will pre-release, or release product at this convention. I have not gone to this place for almost a decade now. last time i was pretty much doing game demos for Wizkids the whole time. This time i want to go as a gamer.

Fantasy Flight games even did some releases a few days ago at the convention for their X-wing miniatures game, the B-wing, and even had on display "Big ships" which include the Rebel Transport, and the Tantive IV Corellian Corvette

So, i am starting the process of forming group/party to go from the LaCrosse area, to Indianapolis next year, this time

Ha! That's certainly something different in a way that only the Japanese could manage.

Played some NES with my nephew yesterday. It's been a while! I played through two of my old favorites - DuckTales and Star Wars. I finished them both 100%, so I guess I still got the touch...

Anyone ever play the Star Wars NES game? I've probably talked about it here before, but it was one of my favorite games on the NES. The Empire Strikes Back was disappointing in comparison, sadly.
