I for one have had a truly ****ty month (actually, going on past the 2 month mark at this point...) and didn't want to post all negative downer crap. I mean, it would boost the post count... but looking back at years past I couldn't believe how depressing much of my daily updates were. Ugh. Trying not to be "that guy" this year... But we need that guy! To give us hope for our own lives!
edlib Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Hmmmph. Laying low today. Busy weekend ahead. And it's just unbearably hot and humid out there today. Plus: I've no desire to be out among the all-day drinkers, and other assorted party animals... all the intoxicated yahoos armed with explosive projectiles that make this day such a hazard to travel around on. If I go outside at all and do anything, it will be a little yard work. Got some weeds growing up through the boards of the porch. Later though... after the crazy heat of the day... when the sun heads West a bit more.

edlib Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Ended up going out to a barbeque after all. Had a good time. Blew off all the stuff I was going to do around here. Oh well. Met a couple of nice folks. Also a few single girls a friend of mine said he'd put a good word in for me with. Doubt it will go anywhere... but worth a shot if nothing else.

I debated on the pros and cons a lot and figure that in three years or so, I'll probably want something different anyhow. Plus I worked out that I only drive 8200 miles a year, so they won't get me on the mileage. Take that!

Leaning towards the Toyota Tacoma, and I might be able to get one new. Saw a preview for Enders Game when I went to see Dispicable Me 2. Can't wait for that film to come out
