I'm somewhat hyped for Rogue One in the vain hope that it's really an adaptation of the Kyle Katarn/Jan Ors story

None, really. I have a very small bit of curiosity for Episode VIII after the huge disappointment that was the pandering fest called TFA, but I don't care anymore.

No clue about Ep 8. And all we got was one Trailer for Rogue one, which I thought was going to be about Rogue Squadron, and instead it is a Kyle Katran story with a woman

This actually makes me a bit more excited for it... Perhaps it's a dark gritty un-disney movie!
