M@nd@lori@n
Wolfenstein and Medal of Honor have both been release for Multiplaying online for player to see how it plays on the net. Will Lucas do the same , this can give the developers a chance to see if the gameplay is balance or if it any tweaking is needed before any patching is ever needed.I can just imagine storming up the beach with Tie bombers above me and Stormtroopers blasting me before I get to the wall....oh wait thats Wolfenstein.....HEHE:D
TornSoul
They have already said there will be no public beta.
digl
well those were not betas, they were something like gamma versions They could release a JO MP test But I doubt they will

Omne
It couldn't really hurt them in the long run....but they could be going for some secrecy thing.
Logan SkyWalker
the wolfenstien test is what sold me on the game, not releasing a test for JO wouldnt be UNjustified.

Logan SkyWalker
demo, test opps duh thanks for the education
StormHammer
A test sounds like a good idea...but you have to remember that RTCW's MP was done by another developer, while Gray Matter largely focused on SP. Although Lucasarts is involved to an extent, JKII is mostly being developed by Raven only, and I'm not sure they have the capacity to focus on all that feedback coming at them from an MP test. I've no doubt they're well into crunch mode now, and doing a considerable amount of their own testing. Maybe if the timescale hadn't been so tight, it could have been done...but I doubt we'll see it now if JKII is set to be released in March. Â I'm just hoping for a feature-rich demo... Wilhuf
I agree with Bartolo_JCS. LEC/Raven should release a multiplayer test version. A great opportunity to hammer out bugs and problems across many different PC rigs and configurations. Â On the other hand, it's possible that the q3 network code base has already been 'perfected' to the point that it really isn't necessary. Perhaps the original Q3 test took care of that step. Â Or is the multiplayer codebase for Jedi Outcast significantly altered from the original Quake3? In that case public testing would make a lot of sense. Â In any case it's academic. Testing will take place entirely in-house. Â
Omne
Wilhuf, I'll use my powers of persuasion to get them to release a MP test. I'll bring joy to all!
TrUeFoRcE
i believe they have said that there going to release a fully playable demo, if you look at the review at http://www.videogamegal.com the guy playing JO says "we plan on having a fully playable demo" when he is asked questions about relase dates i think..... Bartolo_JCS
they do have a demo but they've announced it would be private testing only  I still push for a public multiplayer test!

digl
you really think so? Â I dont. There is a lot they are not talking about, and the screenshots only show the LS, ST rifle, bowcaster and TDs Id like shots of force powers also
Agen
I really wonder if they'll keep the cicly thing like for grip and throw. and don't go steal the idea by making it as thread now.
acdcfanbill
you mean the targeting? yes, i also wonder how the targetting will look...
wardz
oh come on digl  we have been spoiled in comparison to other games and I think they have shown us enough screenshots so we can all speculate amongst ourselves. After all that is half the fun. If they told you the important bits it would ruin it.  wardz
Vagabond
You know, I always thought the little circle-reticle from JK/MotS was ingenius. What better way to specify the target of your Force power? Could it be spruced up to look less cheesy? Sure, but as a metaphor for targeting the Force, I thought it was brilliant.
Emon1
There will definatly be a demo, but remember, Outcast just entered the beta stage. That means it'll probably be released in a few months, maybe 2-4 months, I'm not sure. And as for those RtCW and MoH:AA "Multiplayer Tests" Those are just demos with a new name. Agen
What do ya mean. they're all tests with a different name jsut wanting to see how it goes down. unless it released after. only then it's a true demo. damn evil people.
