Van Hagar - "When It's Love"

It's really depressing when you can think back longingly to the good old days when Sammy was singing in the band.

These guys really need to get Eddie cleaned up, find a new singer, (or an old one,.. hint hint!) get a contract, and make a record and go on tour.

Or f*** the singer (they're always a pain in the ass anyways!) and make a damn instrumental album! Or let Michael Anthony do the singing! ANYTHING!!! Please!

End rant.

How fitting that I was listening to "Let Sally Drive" as I read that...

The Ataris - The Boys of Summer

I gotta say, while I'm not big on remakes of classics (like Madonna doing "American Pie"), The Ataris really do this Don Henley track serious justice... It's got all the feel of the original, in a package that these newfangled younguns'll like.

The first time I heard it, I was like, "Whoa.... That's a flood of memories." Boys of Summer was always one of my fave songs growing up, and hearing it reincarnated for a whole new generation brings a tear to my eye.
