Yoda_623 Posted August 8, 2002 Posted August 8, 2002 I like ball. I can't play any games with a optical. Especially JK2.
Sam Posted August 8, 2002 Posted August 8, 2002 optical is better for game like outcast b/c you dont have to keep picking up the mouse to roll the damn ball
Arkum Posted August 8, 2002 Posted August 8, 2002 I use an optical, but I have a ball one from SONY that works like a charm.

OnlyOneCanoli Posted August 10, 2002 Posted August 10, 2002 I've had a Microsoft Intellimouse Optical for over two years now. I love it.
C'jais Posted August 10, 2002 Posted August 10, 2002 I have a errr.... logitech-sumthin' optical mouse with 2 buttons and a wheel... does that count? I used to rely on my trusty ergonomic ball mouse with 4 buttons, but it suddenly went haywire with my fire button not working 'n everything.... So I got this.... Guys, you do know that an optical mouse can run on almost every surface? That kinda got me thinkin'.... And I came up with this great idea: Strip off your shirt and use your mouse on your bare chest! It's great fun and it looks so friggin cool with the lasers and all!

teutonicknight Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 I have a ball mouse. But I like opical better.
Absurd Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 Microsoft makes great hardware for games and stuff, except for mice. That's where Logitech rules. I-feel mouse rocks - esp. for JK 2 SP.
Darth Groovy Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 My thing with optical is that they need to much maintanance. Shady business,
mima kake Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 I have an optical because when using a ball mouse The hairs of my cat's destroys the mouse every time. (Yes I vacume every day but still...)
