Cut the writers a little slack... this is the 14th year of the Simpsons, and Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie are still the exact same age. If they had grown up it would be easier to come up with new material because they'd expand into different areas - I think for spending 14 years in the exact same place the writers have done fantastic.
