Ratmjedi
You can never trust Microsoft. Bill Gates probally gets weekly reports from each computer telling him secrets and stuff. It's a government conspiracy I tell you all. EDIT: What you just read was a hacker typing this and using the alias Ratmjedi. What he just told you was false and you shouldn't believe one shred of truth in this accusation. Sincerly, Bill Gates

Spider AL
Well it wasn't funny! Mr. Gates is a pillar of our community, just like George Lucas, and we mustn't say anything that could be remotely construed as negative about him! Or Mr. Gates. Ratmjedi
Ok How many people by a show of posts here do not like Mr. Gates? He isn't really popular you know. He's despised by many.

JaseP
It could be a virus/trojan or a bad keyboard or keyboard buffer... The reason it wouldn't show up in scans is that many new viruses can actuall over-write scaning software rendering it useless. My karate instructor (I am an instructor as well) recently got a virus that shut down McAffee's virus scanning software. Just another reason to switch to Linux, if you ask me... Darth Groovy
There do exist planted viruses that allow another remote user to track your keyboard strokes and ad his/her own, so it is possible. I recomend a full virus scan of your system and perhaps contact technical support. The only virus I see in this thread is the abundance of spam. You guys are truly outdoing each other when it comes to that. Some of you not only post on this topic, but come back later with more smart remarks. That is spam too. And to the author, you can go back and edit your post as many times as you like when last I checked. It is not necessary to post 2 or 3 one sentance posts in one thread. leXX
Well said there Groovy! It happened to me once before I installed a firewall. I was typing then all of a sudden it was like someone took over and was typing for me and there was nothing I could do about it. As soon as I realized that I had a hacker, I disconnected and ran a virus scan. It was pretty scarey actually to think someone was able to do this. My husband went and got McAfee Firewall which is excellent. You would be surprised at the amount of hackers it has stopped hacking into our PC. I highly recommend it to everyone. GonkH8er
sounds like a case of a trojan, prolly sub7 or netbus. my guess is sub. its piss easy to use. i suggest you download The Cleaner from http://www.moosoft.com and use it. gets rid of trojans very well
Surfnshannon
Mcafee firewall/online virus scan is great. I just got the demo. It lets you know when people or whatever try and access your computer (mostly false alarms) but it does really work! You can download a demo version for I think 30 days at their website. It even tracks the viruses down on a map and lets you see where its coming from

TiE23
What are trojans? And I would take my hands off the keyboard and let it type to see what it says. I think its really weird, and only happens on the internet. ???!!! I just think its weird, I don't have any thing, and I just types, and they are non threatening or make sense
NerfYoda
From what I can get from your posts () youre describing some kind of hack similar to Netbus or BO. If thats the case what you need to do is: 1) shut off your computer 2) unplug it form your network & turn it back on (or don't dial in if youre a dialup user) 3) go to a friends computer and put the latest virusscan update on a floppy disk or CD 4) install the latest virus scanner update on your computer from that disk Make sure you do all this while OFF the Internet. If that doesnt find anything then either try a different virus scanner or format and reinstall your OS.
