Men In Black II on DVD

I'm getting really sick of these companys making everything a double DVD set with a bunch of nerds telling you how they textured this and compiled that, it's really getting out of hand. Remember the Shreck DVD? I think they do this just to get a few extra bucks out of the movie. Men in Black II was a good movie, but I'm not so sure I want to spend all this money on a 2 DVD set. I just do not feel that MIBII warants 2 DVDs when it was such a short movie. I have the first Men in Black DVD and it was not a double DVD and had plenty of features to keep me busy.

I want this movie but I'm not sure I want to buy it now. Any thoughts?

I personally don't care whether I get two disc's or not. If it is extra money to buy the one with two discs then I won't get it. It depends also what it is on the second disc. If there is also something worth watching then I will get it but if not I won't get it.

Personally I think that MIB II was not as good as a movie as the first one. It was good but I thought that it would be better. I am not going to get the movie because I really don't feel that I want it. There are more better movies to buy like the Band of Brothers DVD set.

Just my $0.02

i agree with Ratmjedi, the first one was much better.

i think in the second movie was trying to be funny too much and it didn't seem as funny as it tend it to be.

don't get me wrong MIBII was good but not as good as the first one.

so i don't think its worth getting it in DVD.

I'll wait until someone else gets it..

I liked it, but there's other DVDs that would be more worth the money ;)

I don't like multiple disk DVDs, well... if there's extra 'bonus' stuff on the second disk and the whole movie on the first disk, it's okay... but having to change disks half-way through LOTR SE sucked

I think every movie should have an audio commentary... but I want to get in on the movie industry someday. For me, the commentary is one of the most interesting special features, especially for Star Wars movies. Listening to Lucas talking about what his thought process was and what he was trying to say is really exciting for me.

I agree. One of the coolest audio commentary's I heard was on the American Warewolf In London DVD. They had John Landis, who is a riot when you listen to him talk about stuff, and also David Naughton and Griffin Dunn who are as funny together talking today, as they are in the movie, if not more! Another good one is the Audio Commentary on Ghostbusters, which is deliberately set up like MST3000 with Dan Ackroyd and Harold Ramis's silloetted heads at the bottom of the screen. Awsome stuff!

It's not that the movie was so terrible. I mean alot of what was cool in the first movie was seeing the MIB operations for the first time. By the second film all that had been established, so they did not have much left to run with. Most of MIBII however, was spent trying to bring back Agent K which was very long and drawn out. My argument is that I just don't see how they can make a double DVD out of such a short film. I question Berry Sonnenfeld as a director sometimes. :(

movie was too short - i felt really jipped. Especially after spending you know what 8 bucks a ticket to see it...only to get little over an hours worth of the same ole stuff. Dissapointing. You could always ask for it for Christmas - then you wouldn't loose any money over it. But take for example the DVD Independence Day. For awhile there you could only buy the 2 disc set - but then a little over a couple months ago they came out with just a 1 disc version for a whole lot cheaper. Maybe they will do the same for this movie?

I agree because with double discs means more stuff (duh) which means that a DVD has more space to put in deleted scenes (long ones:D) and other crap that might be interesting like documentaries, gallery, rough designs of the computer atimatics, (which I like since there are more seen than you see on the movie) and maybe some shots when acters were acting in place but you don't notice the set that was in the movie. ( this probably would be another deleted scene if they finished that shot.) Well does any one agree??:D

I agree as long as the DVD Movie is so great it warrants a 2 disc set. Star Wars, LOTR and ET etc are great movies that I liked the extra contrant on. However, MIB 2....I dunno...it wasn't such a great movie...So why would I want to watch where they failed on the 2 disc set...and pay more money for it?? How much stuff could be on there...they couldn't fit it on one disc??? Sounds like a ploy to get more money to me.

simple solution .... rent dont buy

when was War of the Worlds made into a movie ... i only know of the musical version of it i got (and obviously the radio plays it was made from) which is really good

but if the movie was made too long ago it will look pants .... recent special effects have spoiled older movies for me
