i dont have a xbox. it sucks. gamecube. rocks.:D

Well, I can only agree to that!! The Gamecube 0wnz the Xbox by far!

That may have something to do with me not having an Xbox, but if I did the Gamecube would still 0wn it!!

I'd have to say Xbox is better...

The gamecube is for little kids! I played Resident evil, scary? Nah, Hard? Nah! Its easy!

And here we have Xbox,

Halo, the best game out for it, its great!! Its better than any other game I have ever played. :xp:

I agree, it is based entirely on opinion but I like seeing people's views and opinions on each system and why they may choose one over the other.

X-Box rules!:)

BTW: I've already started a thread about the best console why is there a new one? I don't really care, I was just wondering why a new one was started?

Mwa ha ha ha! I wanted to see who would complain first. It only makes sence that a huge company like Microsoft that makes great hardware and software design a console system. I know all about the Home and Entertainment division losing money (I have a friend at MS in Seattle). Unlike Sony and Microsoft, Nintendo is strictly a gaming company. I expect them to have a slight edge when it comes to marketing and production.

And yes this is a strictly opinionated thread. As for me Nintendo, with Sega on their side, has the nostalgic and "kiddie" games going for them. Microsoft has that raw and hardcore adult approach. It all depends on what ppl like more, imho.

*Turns on PS2* Aaahhh... now it's time for a little Grand Theft Auto Vice City (only on PS2). :p:D

ya, i love seeing/hearing people's opinions on their console-of-choice. I was interested in gamecube, cause of Rogue Leader, but when they made it console exclusive, i was a little mad, and then not having any other games that i wanted on it, really made my day. (the other games were on all platforms)

i voted for cube, the games (my opinion) are more fun, the controllers are better, its got more promising titles coming. they dont waste 2 billion dollars on advertising because the system isnt doing well.

GC is game focused, its all the system is meant for. Xbox uses its other advantages to sell, you can load mp3's on it, play DvD's etc. i prefer to own a system thats focused entirely on making me have fun playing, i could give a %^&* less if my GC cant play DvD's, i own a DvD player anyways.

some of my friends have Xboxes (most have ps2's to be honest) and so far i havent enjoyed a single game for that system, they just arent fun for me. whenever we get together and play games its always GC if its available (unless a new ps2 game is out) and rarely Xbox that we choose to use. i still see ads for Halo all over, goddamnit i HATED halo, it wasnt fun at all for me. it was beyond stupid and i dont understand the fuss over it. fact is that Xbox may have better features but those features dont affect me so ill stick with my tiny little cube. i can fit it in my pocket and take it to friends houses. how many Xbox users can say that? :p

i guess im happy that the Xbox is out there though. competition is good and healthy for big businesses, it means that we dont get stuck with a single line of subpar products from a monopoly (speaking of monopoly i played that for Xbox the other day at one of my friends houses and it sucked).

i guess it all comes down to the genre of games you like most. i think that most Xbox games will be released for the pc in time and many of the Ps2 games have already been. but the Gc has very few games that have transferred over to the Pc. since i want to get games from all over i bought a GC and regularly get new comp games.

i think that we can all agree that PC is the best as it alone offers mods and skins and the like for all the games we like, not to mention it has so many good features that these gaming systems dont have like cd burning. and i daresay that original NES owns all gaming systems past and present, kirby for that thing was incredible..... think im gonna go dig that up and play it tonight. cheers.

I was interested in gamecube, cause of Rogue Leader, but when they made it console exclusive, that kinda told me that nintendo sucked. (was a slap in the face by lucasarts/factor5 basically, considering more people play RS on PC...)

well xbox did the same for obi-wan and jedi starfighter! i really wanted them to come out for gc!

Consoles are for panzies :p:D

Out of the two choices, Gamescube. The xbox controller pad thingymobobber is too big. Even though i have big hands and that doesnt matter, it still has a wierd feel to it.

Gamecube over x.

:)

Oh yeah, what's with those huge-ass controllers. I mean if I wanted to hold a block of cheese I'd hold a block of cheese.

Just kidding. I do like the ps2 controllers the best, but I also dig the triggers on the N64 controller too. Does anybody else like the big controllers?

EDIT: Notice how this is a Box vs. cube thread (not including ps2). I wonder why? lol
