Do you think ep2 was better then ep1?

I dunno. I like them equally.

Ep1 was like ANH because the story follows one group of persons only while Ep2 is more like ESB. The story does not follow one group of persons only. You see Anakin and Padmé's story and Obi1's discovery of the clone army.

The Battle of Geonosis is certainly larger then the Battle of Naboo but we couldn't see a lot in both. The battles were too short from my point of view.

The Battle of Helms deep in TTT was better and lasted longer. We saw more of the heroes in action then in both Ep1 and 2.

Even Endor was better from my point of view. When you saw the battle of Endor, there was some kind of feeling. You saw a small Rebellion beating the Empire although outnumbered. It was honorable and the movie had more soul then Ep1 or 2.

However, Ep2 gave us a better understanding of what leads to the clone war and the rise of the Empire better then ep1. In ep1, at the end, I was wondering what was the message.

The saddest part about both of them is there lack of that kind of aura that the OT had. That aura made us like SW. It kind of deceived me that the PT has yet none...

I think I did like Episode II more than Episode I, but both are just awesome Star Wars movies in my opinion. :)

One of the things I do agree with and what I would have liked to see more in Episode II is longer battles, more focus on the Jedi and the start of the Clone Wars, the Arena battle and confrontation with Dooku are excellent but making them longer would have been better I feel. :)

Though it is already great we go to see so many Jedi in action and -sadly- see so many perish. With the Clone Wars we'll see the Jedi Order partly fractured, many Jedi waiver and perish.

Ep2 was better cuz it was different than the typiccal starfighter, jedi and army fights. They were all mashed 2gether to give a new type of battle, one that I find much better than the fights u always see in Sw.

(dont mind the spelling)

(I am the only one who cant see my avatar??????)

(If u havent awready noticied its my first post so. . .)

look at the OT and then look at episodes I & II and you'll notice something it was sorta talked about in an above post but not to a great extent.

look at A New Hope then look at episode I they are made in the same way a farm boy from tatooine and a slave boy from tatooine both first learning of the force, an escape from a planet to either return something or someone. both movies had an encounter with a sith.

then look at episode II and Empire Strikes Back, both are made in approximately the same way same type of action except episode II has more jedi being that the jedi haven't been exterminated yet.

now one must conclude that Episode III will be pretty much like Episode VI Return of The Jedi

these are my conclusions of the prequels and how they relate to the ot

I really enjoyed AOTC a lot. It had everything in it that I have always wanted to see. All of the jedi in action and the start to the clone wars.....for me it doesn't get much better. :)

I just hope in ep 3 that GL continues the clone wars...at least at the begining of the movie. Maybe have the end battle at the begining of the movie or something. That probably won't happen, but it would be cool IMO. :)

I liked the big fight scenes in ep2 better, but ep1 had more action throughout the film(podracing, skirmishes with droids, etc.). The saber fight in ep2 would have been better if it was longer, but since it was so short I like TPM duel better.

There's this one thing that bugs me in SW2... it's a tiny thing, it's like a sore tooth, just kind of throbbing there. Makes you go, "Dang that's annoying". And that thing is Obi-Wan saying that the Kaminoans had no motive for trying to assassinate Padme. Of course they had a motive; she was trying to stop the creation of an Army of the Republic, which is what the Kaminoans were making. But then, did Obi-Wan think that the Kaminoans seemed so ignorant of the outside universe that they wouldn't know that, or...? I don't know, I'll probably be able to justify it at the time. There've been a lot of these little things that bugged be after I'd seen SW2 7 times, then the 8th, I spotted things that justified all of those things... testament to Lucas' genius!

Episode II is lasting, in my mind, better than Episode I did. After seeing SW1 9 times in theaters, it was all I could do to stay awake. Episode II, I'm still leaning forward eagerly in my chair, soaking in the details and trying to figure out and unravel the entire political web of deceit Palpatine has woven. Episode II has added more to the Star Wars universe then any other Star Wars movie since Empire. If there's just one thing that's annoying in SW2, that's great; there're about fifty things in RotJ ;)

Sadly, Ep.2 was destroyed by the critics...mostly because of the bad acting...if it wins something it would be for special effects.

I gotta say though, could Laurence Olivier have pulled off those lines?!? Meryl Streep herself couldn't have brought the tears with a line like "I truly, deeply, love you."

I loved the flick and have seen it numerous times - heck, I even really enjoyed the love story! But the writing was weak where the romantic stuff was concerned. But whatever, I will still watch it like a thousand more times!

Episode 1 was deeply dissapointing to me, I think that is my least favourite of them all.

AOTC on the other hand is awesome. It has everything I want from a star wars film. The locations, seeing the Jedi in their full glory, a great love story, action in abundance, a great space scene and excellent storyline.

Clones was cool at first, but the "Whoa" feeling left me pretty quickly. It's still an ok movie, but definitely not awesome. The love story was acted so badly it's laughable.

TPM and AOTC rank pretty close in my opinion. Liam Neeson really pulled TPM out of the gutter if you ask me, too bad they killed him off.

Agreed :p

Hard decision.... I love the Obi Qui vs Maul fight while I doesnt really like the saber fights in Ep.2. AotC had greater battles, still, my favorite part of it is the Obi vs Jango duel.

This is what I think of the love story in AotC :barf: .

Though, Jar-Jar did ruin TPM a bit, I still dont hate him. I like the beginning of TPM when Qui and Obi is on the trade federation space ship.

I dont know but TPM fellt a bit like a family trip to me, all main characters in a group (as someone said before), that lowered the quality of the film IMO.

AotC had the geonoisis battle, Obi vs Jango (wich I love), the space battle between Obi and Jango (though Jango were the only one trying to destroy his enemy...). So if I look pass the boring scenes with Anakin and Padme, AotC gets my vote.

Well, I liked Ep 2 more than Ep 1, but RotJ rules them all (the Ewoks rule!).

Ep 2 would have been better, but the acting was all weird and the Ani/pad scenes were boring. the only good part out of the scenes was staring at Padme

Ep 1 was like whast some one said. a family car trip. But both were still good.

Hmm...yeah I think I enjoy watching Ep2 more than 1. It has more open war action, its a bit darker, more locations, more things happening, and yes there is less Jar Jar. But hes not that bad. Of course that doesnt underplay the importance of Ep1. Ep1 is crucial cause its how everything starts. Its just like a question of what period in history is more interesting to you. Some people are more interested in WWII than WWI.

Hayden has skills and Padme was good in the first, however i think romance was kind of unexplored and it was done in more dialoge and poetic form than Han and Leia.

Plus lucas had to get this into one film so they could'nt build any chemistry, however they both did well considering how quickly they were suppose to fall in love, and i did feel a nagging feeling with some of the love scenes, like man they could of wrote something better however. Its stars wars and in their universe love is probably purer than our cultures lust.

The clone wars should of be longer, they should of showed more clones fighting in close range, and maybe some clones loose their gones and come up with creative tatics.

More Dooku and the saber fight, maybe they should replaced the stunt double completely digitaly instead of just the face because his body was too small and i could tell, i also think thats one of the reasons why they did the close ups, although that was cool.

Higer level of saber fighting Hayden was good with the saber. However their should of beeen more Yoda and Dooku to make it seem as if Dooku really couldn't beat yoda even with two sabers instead they make it seem like he just did enough to get away.

Last little complaint, important dialouge in the Novel book AOTc had not made it into the film that would've enhanced some scenes to me. However its still better than episode 1
