Zygomaticus
I just have what little knowledge i get from the movies. I really don't consider the books as part of the real starwars. Besides, i never found the books an entertaining read...sci-fi books bore me.... To me, the movies are the only starwars. It's cool how the games add new characters to avoid making games that are an exact rip of the movies, but i'm really not that much into starwars games
Crazy_dog no.3
I konw the movies, and a little about EU. I don't see how people like EU better.
Dark Sad Shadow
i think the gang who likes the EU already saw the movies, and the excitement of reading the books is that you know the characters of the movies, their faces, their moods, so if you can imagine those same things in the books´text you should enjoy more the histories. well thats how i think
swphreak
How can you not like EU? EU r00lz. And the movies are good too, but out of all of them, I like the originals. Episode 1 was ok, but EP2 was the worst of them all I think. The acting was just weird, and it was a love story, and I dont really like mushy love stories. Tie Guy
Yeah, how the heck do you guys not like EU? Its great, all of it. I can see how you might not like NJO or a few others, but the rest are just good reading, whether you like SW or not. The books are so exciting and just a ton of fun to read. I read the entire Thrawn Trilogy in about 5 days, thats how good they are. And Kode, EU is SW, there is no way around it. They are official licensed and approved by Lucas. I read DarkSaber The Courtship of Princess Leia hmmm....I think I've read one or two others, but not sure. Oh! A good number of the Jedi Apprentices (hey! STOP LAUGHING!) although I haven't read NJO, I doubt I'd like it just cuz it breaks the traditions of Star Wars, but that's just an "IMO" so no arguments over that! I chose both, cuz I liked the Movies, a LOT, and the EU-that I've read-a LOT

Artoo
Once I got past the movies... heh, I've outread you all but fergie. *counts books on shelf* I've read 61 Star Wars books at least twice if not 5 times. These include: X-Wing series Tales of books Bounty Hunter series Jedi Acadamy series Thrawn series Thrawn duology Correlian trilogy Black Fleet Crisis trilogy Han Solo series All the stand alones NJO basically everything except the young jedi books and the junior jedi books, which I'm told are pretty good except for the fact they cost the same biut are only about 150 pages of large print long. I have never met a Star Wars book I didn't like. Go EU and all it's facets!

swphreak
I have 71 Books, 38 Comic Books, and 18 of those "Guides to Star Wars" and "Incredible Crossections" type books. I have read them so many times I cant count them. In fact I'm starting all over again. I'm still buying the X-Wing Series books, and eagerly awaiting for the new NJO book. So, ya, I basically embrace the EU. I think it's what kept me into Star Wars.
Paragon_Leon
well, my conscious SW-memories date back to just after ANH came out, so i guess i'm all but fully knowledge-equipped. somehow i don't care that much for the EU stuff... some of it is simply too borderline outrageous for me. NJO RULZ! I like it anyway *starts to back away from the angry anti-NJO mob* I read the entire Thrawn trilogy when I was 5, but it took me sevral weeks back then...I've read it twice since, but I've mainly been reading newer SW EU than re-reading old books a million times...sometime I want to go back and re-read the Rogue Squadron series, but right now I'm smack-dab in the middle of the large Discworld series (and school too). Can't wait till the next NJO book:) Anyway...at last count I'm well past 150 books and that was several months ago before my room exploded... EU is approved by Lucas, but that doesn't mean he pays attention to it:mad: I'm just glad he isn't doing Ep. 7-9...he'd bring all of EU crashing to it's knees with his entirely new story that gets some central EU character killed or something like that. But i can see why some of the purists out there might not like it.
