Sam
Its the earing and his eyes make him look more feminine than the sword weilding hero of Hyrule should look.
jokemaster
My opinion in the end is that even though it would be cooler to have the Spaceworld demo type graphics, the gameplay will probably rule
Kain
my opinions*which means skip this, go to next post* 1. I don't like Zelda. Never have. Never will. Not enough to keep me involved. 2. I don't like Nintendo. It was sweet back when it was the ONLY system except Atari*which still rocks*. They especially lost it when they made Mario RPG*gags* 3. Nintendo's games are waaaaaaaay to kiddy. I know its been said before, but I'm just reiterating it. 4. Playstation is obviously for more adult tastes *games like GTA and Legacy of Kain, you catch my drift*, with minor exceptions such as Elmo's Playhouse *that game is mad sweet...for my niece, of course;) *. 5. In an honost fight, any RPG/Fantasy character from PSX or PS2 could kick Link's ass *I single him out cuz Nintendo really don't have anyone else...cept Samus, but Metroid could be mad cooler on PS...more violent and junk*. So, in my honost, half redundant, opinion, Nintendo shoulda quit when Sega Genesis whipped its ass all those years ago. Thank you and goodnight! Eldritch
Ok, for what it is, the graphics for the new Zelda game look sweet; however, it's been said a couple of times now (and I'm inclined to agree) that it looks extremely kiddish. It's difficult to maintain the image that not all people who play video/computer games are dorks when a bunch of folks over 20 are playing a game that looks like a Saturday morning Japanese cartoon. Ever since the Playstation came along, Nintendo has gone straight for the kiddies almost without exception. This was not the way to go if you were aiming for the largest market share. -s/<itzo-
good thing i'm not a zelda fan cuz from what i'm seeing that final product pic looks really bad (comparing to the first ones).
lukeskywalker1
i heard they took blood out of mortal kombat once. and about that thing u guyz said about nintendo making games for little kids, *not to sure how true this is* i read it in an article on the internet called how did this (the good pics) turn into this (the bad ones) it said something like they changed the graphics because it was to graphic for little kids. in other words the graphics looked to realistic when they were fighting and stuff it could have scared the little kids. anyways how can a kid under 11 play zelda, i have trouble playing the games sometimes. Katarn07
Just slap a T on the rating! RPGs are for teens and up, not some little 6 year who can't read and understand what is going on...

Kengo
I'm a massive Zelda fan, if I get a GC it will be to play the new Zelda on pretty much I gotta admit I was v dissapointed with the cartoon style when I first saw it, I was hoping for an improved version of Ocarina graphics (like those early shots). The wonderful sense of atmosphere in Ocarina seems hard to re-create using deliberately less realistic graphics. However....I think that Miyamoto is a genius, he's made games before that got some negative feedback before they came up but proved to be brilliant, and I am sure the same will be true for the new Zelda. All the controversy about the graphics and style will just provide even more publicity for the game methinks....and in the end I can't see it being anything other than an all time classic! Darth NeoVenom
Well I have a Gamecube and I have to say that I've been let down once when they released Wrestlemania X8. That game blows, No Mercy for N64 is way better. I don't know what they were smoking. Anyways, every down has it'z up. And I read ealier that someone said GC was a kiddie system? Bullcrap, since when Resident Evil is for little kids. Not only that but other Mature games. GC is a system for all ages, kids to adults. Who knows, maybe after they released this Zelda game, they are going to released a Zelda game that has the same graphics as the screenshots all the way above this thread. And I know you probably heard this thousands and thousands of times: Graphics don't make the fun, it'z the gameplay.

Clemme w/Stick
Well, the first Zelda game for GC will be with the lousy graphics. The other ones that are comming out, will prolly have the good graphics. I've know about this for a while now... -Clemme
