my friend's girlfriend and I were talking about this the other day. I'm looking for a new tv and I want one that's in my price range (less than $500). my friend's girlfriend says I should get a small flat-screen but I want something bigger. she says that size doesn't matter as long as I put it in the right place. what should I do? I can get a small flat-screen or I can get a larger regular tv.

Size matters not! Look at me? Judge me by my size, do you? Mmm?

*Stands at a massive 1.8 foot.* :D

I don't think the size of the TV matters. I think it's best to get a good quality TV for a nice fair price.

As for your decision, the choice is up to you. ;)

I would maybe opt for the larger wider normal TV for a change. :)

Rhett is right.

When it comes to TV's size does matter.

When you are going to be watching movies and espicially DVD's you are going to want a bigger tv case the Widescreen in going to make the picture seem smaller so the bigger the better. Also what's the point of a nice tv when you can't appreciate the detail and stuff when it's to small to see. The bigger the picture the more clearer is and you will enjoy watching it more. ;)\

^ I'm with both of these guys. With TV buying, you must get the one with the better and bigger picture quality, which in this case would be the big regular TV. The small flatscreen is only good if you haven't got much space in your living room. Get the bigger TV - it's the right choice (don't let my opinion influence you though...it's your choice:p).

Size doesn't matter!

What if you had a large... widescreen.. black and white TV set with no remote, or a small colour remote-control TV the size of a shoebox?

Aslong as it has the extra features, and fits what you want, get it. I wouldn't mind a TV with subtitles, anyone gonna buy me one? :D

flat screen (not flat TVs) are VERY VERY nice, Sony ones in particular i have a 40some inch Vega. Best tv ive ever had. First of all, cause the screen is flat, you can see the entire picture when standing off to the side, the picture is VERY clear ^_^

and maybe size can matter maybe not, it depends on the girl. It could be too big for her to handle...aggh nm

Ok, heres what I think:

If you wanna get a TV....then get a good one. Dont just toss around money on a ****ty TV. Get a nice new Widescreen, High Defenition TV. At least 42".....thats the next TV my family is gonna get...and I know....we'll be happy with it. :)
