Jedi Apprentice
Do you wish BioWare would've chosen to put the game in the setting of Ep.2 like they had the option to or are you glad they put in the Old Republic era? My opinion is that I'm glad they put it where it is but it would've been cool to have a party of Obi-Wan, Mace and Anakin. What are your thoughts? Bigpoppa2558
I like the time setting it's in too. Yeah it would have been cool to have Anakin, Mace, Yoda, and maybe Jango Fett . But in this time setting it gives them more freedom to put more and different things in the game.
Project U
It could have been cool, but then the story would have been limited to something less important than the clonewar going on at the same time.
Katarn07
They have the most freedom in this era. I like it, better story.
Hannibal
I think they should have made a game to go along with EP 2(other than KOTOR). Kind of like the Ep1 game but improve upon the mistakes they made. They could have got Raven to do it with the QuakeIII engine.
Burrie
It would've been nice... but I agree with what some people said in here... now that they've placed the game in an era that's virtually unexplored in which almost anything could happen in the next thousand years (besides the entire galaxy exploding), the options they can present us with are limitless. Finally, you can become the greatest hero or villain of all time in the galaxy, instead of playing a small, but important part, in a campaign. Com Raven
I don't think you would have gotten to control Mace or Anakin... Cause that would have cut the freedom down to a bare minimum...

Occasionally running into characters from the movie.
dark jedi 8
i am glad they chose this era, it allows bioware to do whatever they want instead of having to follow the clone wars and ep.II, though that would be fun to do that, maybe in another game......? Rogue15
I like this better cause the sith won't be as mysterious and make you wait til the end of the game to kick some ass.
Taos
I like this era because there is more freedom in the game. There are things yet to be explored in this time.....that's very exciting and I can't wait to see what it will be like.
Guest Jed
Well, I like where it is now because what makes it so cool is that there hasn't been any games that cover this time period before.
Jedi Apprentice
My feelings exactly guys. I hate games that have characters parallel to the main story.
Lord Glorfindel
I love the game setting, I think its a great journey, so to speak, into the SW universe. It dives into a very exciting era, I just think this is gonna be a great story, and that is one of the main reasons I will be getting KOTOR
Swat
1st reason: the Mandalorian Wars is longer than the Clone Wars(which is juz 1 day) 2nd reason: there's no obi, yoda or mace 2 steal the limelight
Ulic Qel-Droma
the clone wars ain't just one day, it starts in episode 2 and ends at the start of episode 3 about 2-3 years later. but as for the topic i think the setting for kotor is bether than a setting for ep2 but i would like to have a game from episode 2. i kinda enjoyed the episode 1 game. Swat
the ep1 game can be much better if the camera is juz behind the character n not so way above the clone wars ain't just one day, it starts in episode 2 and ends at the start of episode 3 about 2-3 years later. ha! didn't noe but as for the topic i think the setting for kotor is bether than a setting for ep2 but i would like to have a game from episode 2. let's hope lucasarts makes a rpg game of all 6 eps
leXX
If it was based on Ep2, you would spend too much time comparing it to the film and not enough time concentrating on the game. This way, the game developers have a lot of freedom and so do the players. It's also interesting to see a part of the Star Wars universe yet unexplored. The Sith vs Jedi wars have always interested me.

boinga1
i think this is a good idea, but I also think they should make a rpg( maybe based on the KOTOR engine) of the clonewars maybe. or they could make it where you can create characters with ep2 style jedi garb, and maybe mandalorian armor. that would rock. Thrift
Mmm I'm glad they've placed it where they have. For the same reasons as have been stated + I reckon that if they did put an in-depth RPG set around Episode II they would be very much reducing its shelf-life, and just generally asking for trouble. In my opinion, which is well supported by what has happened with Episodes I and II, Episode III will come out with some more real ring-stingers for the EU. At least if the game is set 4000 years earlier they can come up with plausible excuses for continuity issues, while if they set it around Episode II I'm pretty sure the third (sixth) film would come out with some heavily contradictory material and make it look a bit silly in some plot aspects. Lord Glorfindel
Another cool SWRPG idea that I think sounds cool is an RPG set in the era when the Yuuzhan Vong are at war with the New Republic, I think that would be so cool, imagine fighting Yuuzhan Vong, with there snake-sticks!!! dark jedi 8
would be kinda neat, though GL probably wouldn't go for it.
Swat
even better, a game on all eu bks (imagine thrawn's face when u burn his fleet down)
covenant_bad
I wouldnt mind playing an Rpg based on I,Jedi. Being Keiron Halycon (sorry i can't remember how to spell it) would be really cool: becoming a jedi, finding the last sith lord, leaving the temple, becoming a pirate and saving your wife!! now thats my idea of a thick plot!
