Zappa_0
Any one here planning to watch the two hour premire of Tremors tonight on Sci-Fi?
ckcsaber
No, I don't even have cable. If I did, I still probably wouldn't watch it. I can't believe Cristopher Lloyd is in it. He is tarnishing the name of "Emmit Brown"
Agen
aaawwwww!!! that was my frickin favourite film when i was wee, but i called it mosnters underground
Darth Groovy
Yeah the movie was kind of cool and unique at the time, but then they had to go and make sequals, and now a TV series? Hopefully I am wrong, but I have seen too many episodes of Stargate SG-1, to know that this could be a very ugly, ugly thing. *shivers*
Sivy
i like the first film, but never watched the sequels as i had a feeling that they might be crap. same goes for the series, however if i hear good things about it then i might check it out. Katarn07
Was Stargate even that great? Don't get me wrong, I loved it when I was little. Had all the toys (still do, they're in a closet in my sister's room) Oh, I will not. How are they gonna make a TV series outta it?
Boba Rhett
No thanks. "Ass Blasters" quenched any need I had to see more graboids.
swphreak
I've seen the first Tremors movie and thought it was ok... I don't see how they can make it into a TV series..... Episode 1: The monster thing arrives Episode 2: The monster thing is killed Episode 3: Another Monster thing arrives Episode 4: They kill it... again Episode 5: the same thing as 1 and 2 Episode 6: the same as 2 and 4. I think I'll pass....
dark jedi 8
yeah, i agree. the 1st one was great, the second was on par. the 3rd sucked. and so will the series!
Darth Groovy
The Stargate movie wasn't terrible, (at least it didn't have Richard Dean Anderson in it) though it was dreadfully boring. I literally fell asleep in the theater watching it. It did have some groovy FX, but that no longer makes a movie cool nowdays. The TV show has predictable plots, horrible acting, miserable characters, and special FX that are par with a 64 bit gaming system.
Zappa_0
Well Star Gate Sg-1 is pretty good I think, the movie was good also. Tremors...yea the first movie was pretty good and then the sequal was bout the same. I've never seen the third movie, I think it was about Burt. But the series last night was pretty good, I cant wait to see what happens when Christopher Lloyd comes to Perfection, Nevada even who else they bring in. Its gonna be interesting to see were they go with the series.
Lost Welshman
Tremors? *thinks back* Hmmm, I seem to remember giant worms? Am I right? I only saw the first film, thought it was a bit corny, dont ask why I cant remember. The series would be boring: 'NO A GIANT WORM IN THE SAND' Steps onto concrete, The end
StormHammer
I enjoyed the first Tremors film...it harked back to the old 50's B-movies about monsters, and I loved those as a kid (er...I saw the re-runs on TV - I'm not that old ). I thought the second film was okay, but not as good as the first. I haven't seen the third film yet...and I'm very dubious about how they could make a TV series out of it. A TV serial of about 6 episodes might work, if it focuses more on the characters...but I don't see a long-running TV series being a success. Hekx
I have Tremors on video, plus I'm in the UK. So I won't be seeing it. I wouldn't mind watching the sequal again though.
nova_wolf
Seen the first one, and I think the second one - Thats the one where the graboids mutate into land hopper things with thermal vision isnt? What happened in the third opne? And a series - it hasnt gotten all serious has it? The films only worked because it was blatently for a laugh! Chewbacco
Even if it has sequals, I'm done watching all three of them since I've seen it like five times.
