First let me say that I'm not in the market (VERY happily married). But, even if I were looking, why would I even pretend that Match.com could help me out. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! I don't know about you, but I'd like to see some different ads flashing in my face!

Win "free" prizes if you hit the clown even though I never hit the cown on purpose and it still takes me to the site ? They're anoying I agree. So, I asked the question: "Why is "underground personals" or whatever targeting these forums?" Is it because they make an assumption about SW fans? Actually, I've seen some pretty cool military ads. Perhaps they're looking for some kick-butt jedi types to enlist?

swphreak Posted April 16, 2003 Posted April 16, 2003 I actually, didn't like what K-lite did with all the ads. It wouldn't even do the auto-forwarding after you reply to threads and stuff. So I edited my hosts file so it would be normal. Some of the military ads are cool. Like the helocopter game one.

swphreak Posted April 17, 2003 Posted April 17, 2003 Lemme see if i can get the capitalization correct: KaZaA-Lite, the Big K of the internet. You have to put up a modified hosts file or something and the ads don't come up and it wouldn't do that auto forwarding after posts (for me at least). I didn't like it so I edited it so the ads would come up. Now it works fine. I haven't gotten ads with sound yet. Only the military ones have some sounds, but my pop-up stopper kills it.
