30 Star Wars Kid Remakes

Wrong, they probably wouldn't even recognize him or see his face. I mean how often when you're watching a movie are you paying close attention to the people in the background? How often do you sit with your nose up to the screen looking at each background extra trying to determine if it's one person or the other?

Perfect example is in Attack of the Clones. Anthony Daniels (C3PO) and Jar Jar Binks actor (can't think of his name off the top of my head) were both out of costume playing normal humans in the bar scene when Anakin is walking through looking for Zam Wessel. How many of you knew they were in that scene without reading about it? Or that the chubby Twilek in that same scene is George Lucas's daughter? I mean without reading exactly where and when and in what costume someone is, you're not even going to be paying enough attention to point him out.

So what would having him be a background extra hurt? Nothing. It wouldn't hurt anything but your own ego's.

okay guys,

i bet everybody at least once in there lives had fun playing around with a lightsaber when you were a kid. This young guy just happened to film it (so he can see himself, he was curious okay?)

but he did the mistake of putting it on the school's camera which was taking by 4 kids who do nothing but trouble. Kids can be the most cruel people, remember?

So then people were teasing him soo much. made unflatering remarks about his looks and etc. And this is EVERYWHERE HE GOES! Of course the kid developped some problems and needed help.

I'm happy his parents got fed up and are sueing the kids who started this mess and I'm happy people are supporting this kid.

Those who think this kid is an idiot should re-evaluate thier morals.

Because, he didn't do anything to deserve it. I mean, there are tons of people who got embarrased on the internet. They didn't get a chance to be in a Star Wars movie. All this kid did was be stupid enoguh to tape himself, being fat and dancing around like an idiot.

That's not very nice calling someone an idiot, neither is calling someone fat, and go Jackal!!!:)

I'd like to point out that I'm all for letting this one die a death now... but:

Sueing the kids 'responsible' is just ridiculous. Can we be expected to belive that this 'video incident' was the first time anyone made fun of the kid? I doubt it somehow. I'd wager a pretty penny that the kid's had a lifetime of poking, teasing and name-calling. Okay, so the video was the 'straw that broke the camels back', but sueing the parents of the kids concerned is just taking the ****.

Obviously Ghyslain wasn't able to to this, but most people would try to ride it off with facts like "Yeah it's me, so what? I'm now more famous than you'll ever be ;)". Bringing legal action into it just seems like attention seeking.

Think about it logically: The last I heard, the online collection for Ghyslain had raised $3000. And yet he still can't cope with the situation, and still needs couselling. What purpose is sueing anyone going to serve? Throwing more money into the equation isn't going to help. (unless there's like a $10,000 cut-off point where things are suddenly better  )

Legal action is going to drag this story out and add to Ghyslain's unhappiness. He'll not be remembered as "the kid who got embarrased on the internet", he's going to be "the kid who got embarrased on the internet and threw a hissy fit over it"

An offer from Lucasfilm, should it occur, would seem patronising. An acceptence from Ghyslain would look like attention-seeking.

I honestly wish him all the best, but dragging this out in court won't help anyone.

B.

Exactly. Thats waht I would do. I would laugh along with the people. I'd be proud to be known as the Star Wars kid.

Being verbally made fun of on a message board is totally different then having a video that you made of yourself for yourself plastered all over it and edited in 30+ different ways. There's a difference being made fun of in a small internet community, but this kid has been made fun of by MILLIONS of people, not 5, not 10. MILLIONS. He's been talked about in tons of newspapers and has even been discussed on television now. NOT ANY OF IT HAS BEEN RESPECTFUL towards him.

You know how many people are in star wars movies that "don't deserve" to be in it? Nearly every extra, hell some of the main actors, don't "deserve" to be in it. That argument is so flawed and I can't believe why any of you are even stating it except for personal ego's that would get hurt by letting some kid that's been publicly humiliated world wide be in the background of some scene in Episode 3 as an extra. You really have no empathy if you think he doesn't deserve it, none what so ever.

This is true.

IMHO, you've got a lot of nerve, fella.

Empathy? We have empathy. Leave the kid alone. He's obviously upset, and has even gone off the deep end because of what a few people did. Life can suck, and so can people. You need to let him get on with his life and try to forget about it. It's people like you that are making the situation worse by creating threads like this.

That's my 2 cents.

Exactly. People are gonna know if the kid got in the movie. Then, everyone will talk about ti again. Since he got in, more peopel will be mad, and make more videos.

So let's get this straight Mr.Joshua. You think because he has been humiliated he should be in Ep3. Don't make me laugh.

How many other people "deserve" to be in Ep3 in front of this guy. Take me for example. I've been a Star Wars fan since ANH. I have played with the toys as a kid and followed Star Wars religiously for all these years. I bought the games, the comics, the toys and lord knows what other merchandise. Do I "deserve" to be in Ep3 as an extra in front of this guy? Hell yes I do. How many other dedicated fans like me "deserve" to be in Ep3 in front of this guy. Thousands.

Do I feel sorry for him? Yes I do (read my first post). Do I think he should be an extra in Ep3 because of his humiliation? No I don't.

You obviously didn't comprehend my post. I said NO ONE DESERVES to be in Star Wars, but if anyone does it's him. So what if you've been a star wars fan since ANH, so have I. I've had all the old toys, I have nearly every book, and I have the original trilogy as well as both sets of special editions and both dvds. But I'm not saying I deserve to be in it more than him am I? The fact is you weren't humiliated in front of MILLIONS OF PEOPLE. I can't understand how you all can't comprehend how many people that is. You act like it's some little thing that happened to him. I pray none of you get caught doing something and become the laughing stock of the whole internet.

FYI: No one would know what part he got, and I'd be damn jealous if he got in, wouldn't make fun of him one bit. It's that thinking that got this poor kid screwed in the head.

That guy reminds me of Rhett, lol :D

Well I think the guy is cool, but he doesn't deserve the divine honor of being on a Star Wars movie. I like the idea of putting him on the DVD as an easter egg. Imagine somebody that's never seen him before watch him for the first time on the Ep. III DVD. ;)

God damnit, leave the kid the hell alone:mad: Go and see the other swk thread for my rant. I've lost alot of respect for alot of people at this place. *******s:mad:

Telling him to get a life? Get your own and stop mocking him. I'm glad that leXX and groovy agree with me. We should start a petition to leave him the hell alone:rolleyes:
