Hmm... A quick romp across Portugal and Spain, then onto France!

Also, should you be interested, there's a great French website with MP3s of Napoleonic Marches - you can find it here.

  2. I present your party a gift, as a thank you for the comely wenches:

I can only hope that someday my toadying will be rewarded... :D

  3. How come we weren't friends! No matter, 'tis rectified now! :p

  4. It was English for all in Medieval. I couldn't play as the French or Germans because they sounded as if they were straight from Monty Python.

The native languages is a far better approach - and, I have it on good authority that we can rename individual units and ships - I'm expecting a lot of 'HMS Pwnzalls' and similar stuff.

Uniforms are pretty well done - the only exception is that for European armies it's the same officer in a different colour, so i'm hoping it'll change. And i'm with you on the excited part!

  5. I think that we needen't worry about he-who-must-not-be-named any longer... :)

  6. I think they would have to go back in time, as without some extreme changes to their current engine and style of play, the Modern era would be too difficult to represent (planes, formations and tactics would be difficult to do on such a scale).

The 20th century would definately be complex, if only due to the massive changes that took place - we went from using Cavalry to Helicopter gunships in only 80-100 years!

The Big three eras have already been covered (Classical, Medieval, and now Early Modern), and of course the Shogun era of Japan, so I can't see where they would go - there's a thousand possibilities, and only Creative Assembly have any idea. But, whatever they do, it'll be certain of success.

But, they could always venture to the future - but that would be a departure from their previous games.

Besides, we've got a good two to three years of Conquering/Defending India to look forward to yet! :D

  7. When I got my leg fixed. :p

Yesterday, actually. It was inevitable really, and I'd been thinking about it for a while, seeing as everyone calls me 'Astor'.

There was a really good film on this afternoon, that would have been perfect to get you in the mood for Red Dead Redemption - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdHFacoZy9s

    :p

    Jolan Tru, Senator!

How are things across the neutral zone? :p

  10. Unfortunately, I think LA would do something horrible to it. :(

One of the best RTW mods I have played it the LOTR one - I only bought the Alexander expansion to play it, but it was worth it - watching as 350 elves stand against 1000 orcs is amazing.

That's the other thing that makes them so great - their mod-friendly. I'm not sure how the new requirement of STEAM will affect this, but i'm hoping there's going to be some good ones for Empire.

  11. I really wish I knew - it looks like it could be pencils and then coloured in using Photoshop - other than that, i've no idea.

  12. I'm glad somebody appreciated my '-gate' joke..

you know it makes sense... :p

  14. Gotta love some deadwood :D

  15. Don't worry about it. :)

Some more proof that America didn't single handedly win the war -

    Fighting Jack Churchill

They need to make a movie about him.

The 'bad guys' always get all the good things to do...

But Q have more fun than ANYONE...

  18. Total Realism is very good. But personally, I prefer 'Roma Surrectum'. It's got just about the same level of realism.

But really, it's down to personal preference. I don't know if you've seen it before, but there's a list of mods and their forums here on TW Center. ;)

  19. That, and a good deal more, I should think.

In fact, I was so bland that when the question 'Who wants to rule the Navy?' was posed, I was the only one who didn't step back. :p

  20. Ah, you see, I'm not a great one for blowing my own trumpet... If people are going to read them, then fine, but I'm not going to force people to read something... How are you today, anyway?

  21. Thank you very much for your spring cleaning, Jae.

I know it's one of the low-traffic boards, but I do hate seeing it get clogged up with inane posts.

And that coming from an omnipotent race of being supposed to protect the galaxy...
