  1. I don't think that there's a list, but there are several Monkey Island podcast episodes by 'Super Marcato Bros. Video Game Music Podcast'. They talk about the music of the games, make interviews (forgot which composer was Interviewed), and they also try to find out (or at least guess) who wrote which music, iirc.
  2. I can't tell the characters apart, the two pale pirate leaders and the museum guy and the composer on the ship, it's really confusing for me (but this might be a personal issue, I'm bad at recognizing faces in real life as well). I really like Flambe, didn't do much, but that's his life moto apparently. He knows nobody can do anything about him being lazy, he's a demon after all and a handy underwater light source! Just chilling in the crowsnest. I know it's not a new character, but I love how they presented the cook in the Scumm-Bar, the spiritual journey and mop enthusiasm!
  3. I don't know if this was already discussed, but why did the melee clock show a different time on the map to the secret? I thought that there was gonna be a puzzle where you had to repair the clock and change the time according to the map (8 o'clock or maybe 11:40? hard to tell) to get access to the secret. But no. Also: who put the safe there? Stan?
  4. It says MELEE on the shirt. When the turns left/right the font flips too, so it's mirrored on one side. Reminds me of the discussion if Bob's Pegleg is on his left out right side (mirrored sprite). Was he always called Apple Bob? Also I thought the museum and the (bit annoying) curator were a nod to the overly-analytic fanbase (aka: also us in this forum), who till today make up their own theories and interpretation of stuff happening 30 years ago, and become something Ron/Dave have to deal with now.
  5. Eep ook ack! I failed at #Mojole #170. πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€ πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€ πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€ πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€ πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€ πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€ https://funzone.mixnmojo.com/Mojole/
  6. Finall my starting word payed off! πŸ‘• I beat #Mojole #168 and all I got was this stupid t-shirt. 2/6 πŸ–€πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ–€ πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š https://funzone.mixnmojo.com/Mojole/
  7. Oh, I figured it's the same worldwide, I think you're right. It's amazing because I solved the NYT-Wordle first, came to post it in the forums (the result was a very Monkey-Islandy term) and thought wouldn't it be amazing if it's was actually the same word on mojole today and: BAM it was!! Made my day. Oh, maybe it's tomorrows NYT-Wordle if you're in the US? But I think it might be yesterdays. Edit: it's actually tomorrow's wordle in the US!
  8. If we would count every monkey that we can't see, curse would have the most: 'Hordes of ruthlessly-trained monkeys are hidden away deep within the bowels of the park ... bound to immense machines of destruction and family entertainment.' -Lechuck (Big Whoop Amusement Park scene at the end of Curse)
  9. Ahh that's why it's confusing to watch, thanks for the explanation!
  10. No it hasn't? Edit: Still no, but it's the most confusing animation, sometimes it's always on the side facing the player, but when he walks it's clear.
  11. Oh no, I clicked 3, but I think 5 would make more sense? I don't think that the building with the elevator is the church, so it has to be behind the church? The 'pssssst' came out of the alley, so my brain just decided that it's right there. The same location where the fish crates are in the new Meele Town screenshot. I love stuff like this! Thank you!
  12. πŸ‘• I beat #Mojole #140 and all I got was this stupid t-shirt. 4/6 πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ’›πŸ–€πŸ–€ πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ’›πŸ–€πŸ–€ πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€ πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š https://funzone.mixnmojo.com/Mojole/ Have to admit that I'm a bit proud that I got it right after just having two correct letters! πŸ™‚
  13. πŸ‘• I beat #Mojole #136 and all I got was this stupid t-shirt. 2/6 πŸ–€πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ–€ πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š https://funzone.mixnmojo.com/Mojole/ Finally, a good score!
  14. I just thought about this Plaido Quote: 'Why don't you go do something useful now...like inhale a puffer-fish. Okay, babe?' So that's what Ron meant when he said Curse was canon!
  15. Guybrush! You're holding it wrong, omg. The pirates got it right.
  16. They got rid of the hillbilly touch. He looked happier back then though. I wonder what happened.
  17. I like the zoom-in effect inside the courthouse. I was a bit concerned because everything in the trailer was really big and zoomed in. It seems like the camera shifts to match the situation. Edit: the emotion of the judge really comes across, the characters look really vibrant in action.
  18. I feel the same way about the locations, I don't miss a character and want to play the game again as much as I miss a certain mood of a location in the game. Curse and Monkey1 do this perfectly, the world is alive and the geography makes sense: you can look from the beach in Monkey1 to the little mountain with the vista and vice versa. Small details like this make me so happy. This details are missing in Monkey2 sometimes, but the incredible music makes me forget this. Guybrush being a vessel makes so much sense, he's just guy experiencing an adventure. This way the ending of Monkey2 makes total sense. The game is over, we go back to our lives. About the beard thing in Monkey2: I never made the connection between the beginning of the game (Guybrush loses the beard to Largo) and the ending (Guybrush gets the beard back, now in zombie form). Largo used the beard to revive Lechuck, Guybrush uses it to defeat him again. There's something about this beard in this game (and spit, tons of spit)!
  19. I had the same thought, had the map theme in my head after watching the snippet. I think it's the major/minor interchange that goes on. I forgot the exact term for this, modal interchange? I even reversed the video to listen to the music backwards but it didn't reveal anything to me.
  20. Omg, why does this make so much sense?? Ron Gilbert just got very nervous because we figured everything out before the actual release! I never noticed the crow in monkey2! I thought this came from the movie concept art. I just checked the gameplay and the artworks, it's really easy to miss (just the special edition box at makes it really clear, it looks more like a feather duster in the originals) and I'm so happy to have learned something new! Btw everyone mentioned that the swordfighting scene in the trailer between Guybrush and Lechuck was inspired by the movie concept art, but I've looked at all the pictures and couldn't find any that fit. Can someone help me out here?
  21. A Captain Madison is mentioned in the game description on nintendo.com. Seems to be one of the new pirate leaders: 'Hip, young pirate leaders led by Captain Madison have shuffled the old guard from power, Melee Island has taken a turn for the worse, and famed businessman Stan has been imprisoned for β€˜marketing-related crimes’.'
