 Sorry, couldn't resist.....

The thing is, what if for some strange reason, you came back and your account is deleted?

Well if you have 10 or less posts it doesn't matter does it, Make a new account, but then they leave again....and so on and so on.

I don't know it was just an Idea.

*gives Zoom his anti-strange medication*

Anyways...

A while back, I was off for about 6 or 7 months. I wouldn't have liked it if I came back to see my account had been deleted. It does tickle my curiosity though, why people register and never post.

They probably think they are doing us a gavor, and we do appreciate the mass amount of noobs that slow down our servers. :wavey:

You know, people register so they can read posts..... =S

Okay so I made those statistics up lol

Yeh, but thats probably how it will be. Alot of people join just so they can read stuff on JKIII, don't post, and just leave.

  • 2 weeks later...

Deleting existing members obviously isn't a good idea... but there is another way, but I'm not entirely sure how it would work, maybe there's a hack for vB that'll allow this...

Members who don't post within a 1 or 2 week limit are automatically deleted, I know it's not fool proof but it's better than nothing.

depends... is there going to be naked women in this diagram?

:D

i don't know about your idea lynk because alot of people like to lurk before posting.

i agree about all the hundreds of users that registered over a year ago and have never posted.

you should wipe them out.... all of them

*evil laugh*

So give them a limit, I know people lurk so a one or two week limit should be sufficient. It's a big forum yes but not that big that it'll take a month to look at. It would greatly cut the amount of members we have who have a post count of 0. Tis a forum, people join to obviously discuss things and talk. It's okay to lurk but more productive for the forum itself to actually make use of its resources.

ERR..

i lurked the forums several err.. years..

WITHOUT BEING REGISTERED.

there is no need to register if you want to lurk.

except you want to see poll results.

one only has to be registered if he wants to post.

so lynk might be right. if one registers and does not post within 2 week.. BOOOM .. throw him out.

or not.

i dont care much.

not that much.

and more less.

but lynk is right.

;)

Currently, you can't view the forums without being logged in. Presumably, this is a bandwidth-saving measure.
