Acrylic
I'm surprised theres no thread on this already. They released the official Fable Box art a couple days ago, but I thought "What the heck, someone else will post it." I see no one posted it, so, here it is. I jumped in joy after seeing it. Fable will rule.

snowman21
Wow, i forgot about Fable. I read about it in a magazine, but since its for x-box, i didn't keep my interest in it. I don't have an x-box!
Acrylic
Originally posted by Zaknafein i remember hearing about this from a friend... what exactly is it about, and what type of game is it, etc? Its gonna be a very "whatever-in-the-heck-you-wanna-do" RPG. WAY MORE open-ended than Morrowind. I'll give you guys some links to info on this game. http://www.teamxbox.com/news.php?id=5198 http://www.teamxbox.com/content.php?id=30 http://xbox.ign.com/objects/016/016526.html?fromint=1 http://www.fablegame.com/ ^^^^^^^^^^ That is the single best site ever made. Its sooooooooo fun. If you think thats fun, I bet the game will be 1000x better. (BTW, its the official site) --------------------------------- Yep, theres alotta info on all those links. Youll like the game after seeing pics and reading stuff. I hope it is good instead of an overly hyped title. EDIT: If this game turns out to be good, it may be a reason to get an XBox. I already have one, so I'm hyping for it.
Boba Rhett
Sweet box art. It's more open ended than Morrowind? I didn't know that. I've been looking at it for the past few months. I'm going to reserve a copy next time I'm at the mall.

Doesnt Halo, Halo 2, Ninja Gaiden, Fable, Project Gotham Racing, Project Gotham Racing 2, Jet Set Radio Future, Soul Calibur 2 (with Spawn), Rainbow Six 3 (Different than the PC version), Top Spin, Crimson Skies, XBox Live, a HDD, better graphics, surround sound support, and makes certain games look better on an HDTV make you want to buy an XBox? Thats what made me wanna buy one. EDIT: The guy on the bottom of the box art...doesnt he kinda look like the guy from LOTR?

Maybe it was something else...but they worked on this game for a long time until it was a quality game. Like I said before, RS3 is a totally diff game than the one on PC. Internet, well, you get a kewl Headphone, DL new game content, etc, and its only $50 a year. Who ever said reg internet is free?
Tyrion
Uh..x-box lives requires both broadband AND the 50 dollars a month. So it's still a game-a-month more expensive than PC. Downloading new content is a given on the PC(you can usually also make your own mods and distribute it, which you cant do well on the console). http://www.microsoft.com/games/crimsonskies/downloads.asp Crimsons Skies WAS a pc game, I even played it on this computer when a cousin bought it from a bargin bin. And this shows I have no life.
ET Warrior
Yeah, Halo got PC, after like 2 years of us having it. And it's gonna be the same for Halo2. We also got KOTOR months before the PC's. Fable is gonna take a long time to port to PC, so on and so forth. Plus with me Xbox I never ever have to worry about installing or uninstalling the games I want to play. If i'm looking through my shelves and see an old game I want to play I dont have to take the 30 minutes to install it before I get to play. I just slip it into the tray and away I go. AND the 50 dollars a month. So it's still a game-a-month more expensive than PC. That's 50 dollars a YEAR. That's 4.1666666 dollars a month. Hardly a strain on the budget. Tyrion
Oops. Oh well, my PC can still dance! (By the way, if any gets the Game Informer magazine, they have a full two pages of pictures for Fable. It really does look to become a kickass game.) And Tyrion while you were waiting 2 years for Halo to come on PC, I had it beating and was enjoying amazing multiplayer action with my friends. Sam Fisher
In case you haven't noticed, XBOX games are made just for it, so they can make it look cool, but you can get that and better on PC. No, dislike XBOX, consoles...

No, dislike XBOX, consoles... I disagree with the better, but you CAN get some console games on PC. I have a comp: 3.06 Ghz 512 Mb ram ATI Radeon 9700 pro 200 gig HDD (Just incase for people that dont know, its a purty powerful rig there). And I still have a PS2, XBox (and planning to get a Gamecube, and possibly Dreamcast). Why you ask? Because I love the feel of console games. Some are console exclusive, and also, I hate installing games, its so, frustrating, and pointless. Why not jsut play them offa the disk?
Rogue15
Fable is going to be the best game ever. When the sun goes down and the moon comes up, shops close down, people go to sleep, guards keep watch. If you rob and kill a guy and a kid sees you do it, he could tell his dad, who was the victim's best friend, and the kid's dad could hunt you down, post a bounty for you, etc. the great thing about fable is that everything you do in the game, no matter how little it is, affects the game, so technically, you can't play the same game twice. I've been following this game for over a year, and it's the main reason why I bought the xbox last november. It is going to be awesome.

That sucks that you don't have the money to get an Xbox, with Fable and Halo 2 coming out and all. I know how it is having no money, being in college and having to buy Christmas gifts for family and having to pay for Retun of the King and ... *goes of and sells a kidney to get some extra cash*
