Surfnshannon
You have to have friends in high places. And I'm not friends with Bill Gates.
Astrotoy7
i was all ready with a smart-a$$ quip about about your mom and me and webcam, but all this is is some youngster trying to find out about getting illegal software........ wrong place to ask Mister ! The latest version of office is office XP, you cannot 'upgrade' from 95 to xp ! thats like asking if you have 1980 car and you want a 2004 car, you gotta pay for it man !!! Sivy
you can buy ugrades for office, however some require the previous version to upgrade i.e 95 to 97, 97 to 2k, 2k to XP, XP (or 2k sp3) to 2003. Unfortunately its far for being free… but its cheaper than buying the full product. http://www.dabs.com/uk/productView.htm?quicklinx=WJY

Because if he's willing to buy it, only he wants it cheaper, it's not only NOT ILLEGAL, it's just good common sense.

But Siv nailed it - I actually had a friend in the same situation a number of years back, and found that a 2 version difference makes upgrading more expensive than re-buying. Perhaps look on eBay or something - maybe you can find a 1-version behind copy for cheap (watch pirates there, too ... I always try to get new & sealed when it is software.) manoman81
I know one way that you can get it for about $10-$20 legally is if you know someone that goes to a university that has a deal with Microsoft. I can get windows and office for about $20. Problem is that a person can only get one copy...I would look for websites that sell software for cheap (and have good standing in the business world so you don't end up with a bootleg copy) or ebay for newer versions of Office. Edit: Always get the "Pro" version. It has more bells and whistles and just a better product all together.

BongoBob
I told her that, but she made me put it eBay is exactly what I told her to do. Could a mod please lock this now?
