GothiX
Lately? umph. Flowing Tears - Serpentine Ver emotional yet powerful tracks on this CD, a great album in the gothic metal genre. While a bit leaning towards pop, the singing on this album is amazing. Flowing tears - Razorbliss Released a few years after Serpentine, Floing Tears has a new vocalist, and while not as powerful as the previous one, she's still a great voice. The pop influences barely are present on this album. Epica - The Phantom Agony Epica's first and only true album, such a masterpiece. Simone's vocals on this album are superb, not to even mention the great grunts and background instruments. Truly defining for gothic metal. Within temptation - Mother Earth Within Temptation's breakthrough i the metal scene was thanks to this album, and it really shows why that is. Without much background support but several guitars, a keyboard and a drom, Sharon's vocals are at their best, as her voice truly takes you into a mystic experience with songs like Caged and The promise. Within Temptation - The Silent Force A great follow-up to Mother Earth, Within Temptation's music now is backed up by a choir and an orchestra, adding a new dimension of harmony to the sound of the band. Masterplan - Masterplan A cross-breed between Iced Earth and Children of Bodom, Masterplan has become a powermetal band with awesome guitar riffs. This is metal at its best. Disturbed - Believe Unlike on their other album, 'The Sickness', Disturbed truly is a unique sound i the metal scene. The raw, fast vocals, combined with the long screams and the melodic trash metal really is something you either hate or love. That about summed it up. BongoBob
OMGWTFBBQ! I posted this in May Anyhow, now my taste has changed a slight bit. I no longer listen to LP as much or as often as before, and that's from realizing that Meteora was a piece of crap. But anyways, the albums I've been listening to alot: Green Day - American Idiot Rancid - (Not a clue, a friend from out of town gave me it, friend in town told me who it was) Actually, I've been listening to those two cds non stop. If anyone knows what cd the Rancid cd might be, it has The only 2 songs I know on it, Out of Control, and Fall Back Down.

Being true to genres is what makes bands stagnant and boring. Metallica constantly changed their style, sometimes for the better and other times not. Evanescence in the new/unreleased stuff ive listened to seem to be moving/have moved onto new territory so that encourages me to listen to them more. CapNColostomy
Nice choices. Especially the Lamb of God. And speaking of KIllswitch Engage, I picked up a sticker of theirs at the American Head Charge show. It's cool, it has a KFC theme, with a Col. Sanders looking character and KSE on it.
