Arreat
Now that summer is here I've so much time on my hands I need something to keep me busy... I wanna get one of the games but can't decide - IGN has given Driv3r a low rating, but they say True Crime is short... Which should I get? And if you have either game can you please give your flaws, ups and downs? Thanks for your input.
RoxStar
Driv3r just because Driver and Driver 2 ruled.
KBell
Driv3r was terrible, it tried so hard to be open-ended, but they really did a horrible job of doing so. True Crime was so-so short, but it was definetly entertaining.

And the whole review conspiracy really made me upset. I mean they worked on it for 4 years and the game turns out to suck.
Mex
I kinda like Driv3r, it beats True Crime for me any day. Driv3r - Quite nice graphics, lots of cool cars, fun police chases and unlockable cars.. True Crime - Laggy multi player mode which hardly anyone plays, dodgy animations, crappy story [Zombies?! WTF?!] and not enough guns..
MuRaSaMuNe
I rented Driv3r and IGNs review was kinda low. The game wasn't as bad as they say, it is still pretty fun. I've played the PS2 version not the XBOX version and I wasn't too impressed with it. THe controlls were annoying and objects popped up out of no where... I'd be driving along and all of a sudden a car or a tree would load out of thin air and I'd run into it. The game was still pretty fun and the XBOX version may have better controlls and hopefully no objects spawn out of nowhere on it. It's still a pretty enjoyable game once you get used to the controlls but I still prefer a GTA game to this. I also read reviews for driv3r that said the game was 15 hours long but I can't really confirm it because I traded it in the other day for Onimusha 3 [edit] I'd say it deserves a 7/10 not a 5.5/10 that IGN gave it

I think the Xbox version has better controls, graphics and draw distance. So far nothing has popped up suddenly and the controls are perfect. Kain
I don't like the Driver series, so I'd say True Crime...or maybe I'm just violent..? Expand your Imagi-Nation.

Or maybe you're a closet Snoop Dogg fan? Anyways, hate for Snoop Dogg is why I chose Driv3r. I considered buyingTrue Crime once until I saw that awefull comercial with Snoop doing some lame ass dance while holding pistols sideways like the "gangsta" he is. I've got nothing against Snoop Dogg, but I don't like his music or his acting. I just don't like the Driver series. Actually, I don't like many driving games (GTA series is about it). And I don't think you HAVE to be Snoop. Its probably done with some code or beating the game under a certain time. **** rap, Rock rules. Both of which I have, both of which I can honestly say would eat up any title in it's genre and still have room for Farcry desert.

Arreat
Thanks for the suggestions guys but I decided to get neither... I thought Driv3r is out for PC but it isn't and based on what you guys say True Crime isn't so great on the PC. So I plan to just sit this one out until NFS:U... (Yes, I do like ricers... but I like muscle cars as well.) As for the other suggestions, thanks, but I get tired of shooters easily. As for Metal Arms glitch, I'm not really into the Mech Warrior - robotish games, thanks for your input though. Originally posted by Darth Rythe GTA SAN ANDREAS!!! Yeah I plan to get that as well... But I was kinda hoping for game suggestions that are already released. Thanks again.
toms
well, if we are talking PC, and i assume you already have ALL the gta ones, then what about: Mafia - heard this was awesome once patched, and deserved way better sales than it got. cheap Midtown Madness 1&2 - old now, first one was more fun, 2nd had better graphics. very cheap. Trackmania - budget but fun http://www.gamespot.com/pc/driving/trackmania/index.html?tag=mp_2to9 just a few suggestions to keep you busy until the next GTA comes out... Same with Ut2004 and Call of Duty. Wait til the price drops on Driver 3, like to $10, then itll be worth it.
