NiKo
I need a vacation... We had a signing at the store today from Israels leading HipHop act...crap at its finest. I never knew there are so many Hiphop kids in my town! it was crazy! so many kids, so many people...lining up just to meet and get a signature from a bunch of untalanted white boys with a black act. funny thing was though, the group is 5 white dudes, a chick, and a black guy. and the black guy was the only one not acting all 'froom da hood' and ****. he was actually cool. the chick was kinda hot, but I take it she slept with the whole group so..how was your day at work? Sivy
my day at work can be summed by one word... boring. the highlight of my day... a peanut butter sandwich for lunch. you see the problem with being an IT Technician is that its like being a fireman. if there's no fire to put out, there's not a lot else to do... apart from cleaning monitors, keyboards and mice... maybe fill up the printers with paper... however its Friday, so i'm happy. edlib
I recently did sound for a South Korean hip-hop act, who played-up the whole O.G. vibe,.. so I know exactly what you mean. It was quite surreal. (Music really sucked too...) They kept asking me to turn the volume up on the mix, and my boss kept saying to turn it down. I cut it off at about 110 dB at the board, which is really loud for our small hall, well above the threshold of pain and instant hearing damage at the speaker stacks, and the group kept saying to turn it up. They finally stormed off the stage with a lot of "I can't work under these conditions!" and "F*** you, soundguy!" diva attitude. The promoters were apologetic, but I told them to tell the band to grow up or bring thier own sound engineer next time. We got through the show, and they came out for thier encore song and started in with the whole "F*** you, soundguy!" thing again. Funny thing is right after that thier mics stopped working altogether. Then the whole P.A. wen't down. So did the monitors, as well as the lighting system and spotlights. I walked away from the board and turned the houselights on, since there was nothing else we could do... all of our equipment suffered simultaneous catastrophic failure. Show over! Everybody out! You don't have to go home, but you sure as hell can't stay here! Lesson learned (hopefully): Never, never ever s*** where you eat... Oh, and don't piss off your sound and lighting techs if you want to be seen and heard.

Whoa, that sounds like BOFH. I wish that would happen to me. I've never got nothing to do. My female bosses boyfriend feels like stirring up a lot of stuff. So there will be a new branch and we need to set up a VPN connection there and they have to keep their phone extensions so we need a solution for that (VoIP?). We will finally buy a new domain server / file server. Thinking about making it a communication server as well. So we have to decide if it's gonna be a Windows / Exchange or a Linux / OpenExchange combination (can anyone help here?). The fields of responsibility are being changed and therefore the way we use our ERP system, too. There are new employees who need to get PCs and training. I have to upgrade our intranet, so there's barely a weekend when I'm not knee-deep in PHP code. Shall I continue?
Fender
In 4 hours my band is playing my first proper gig for the Old Rockers and Metalheads of my town, and I am scared. Oh so Scared. We had our first gig last Saturday, but we brought most of our audience along with us.... I am split minded at the moment, I love singing but the aniticipation leading up to gigs is killing me! Joshi
Today (that being yesterday) was my last day of work. I handed in my notice 2 weeks ago because the work was boring, my boss was an a-hole and my social life was getting a serious dent in it due to huge demands on my time. I didn't tell anyone at work about me leaving and no one knew by the end of the night which was cool (just incase you're wondering, yes, my boss knew). But because no one knew, I didn't get any leaving present or anything. I'd been working for this company for 2 years and they gave me ****. I knew this was gonna happen and working in rtail, I decided to help myself to a few things. I ended up with a "Champion Drinker" sash, a loser pin and a pair of cufflinks. This all amounted to about £6.00 which isn't much considering this is a national company making £millions each day, so what the hell. How was your work day? Darth Groovy
There was a brief time in my life where I actually liked rap, now I can barely stand the stuff. I think I stopped likeing it, when rappers started getting shot, Ice Cube started doing all those stupid mindless comedy movies, and Ice - T became a cop on Law & Order. I saw Busta Rhymes last year at Area 2, and it sucked balls. That guy is a complete idiot on a stage. I feel your pain.

Natty
The highlight of my day was seeing my friend on TV during some interview with Delta Goodrem. I then later found a pic of Delta with him in the background. He's cute, he's Greek, I bet he's erm... let's not go there. Was supposed to give him a blowjob the other week when I was in Sydney but forgot.
