Qui-gon Jin's Lightsaber made by Request. Download

This mod adds one new Lightsaber Hilt. You must have My Lightsaber 6 pack installed for this mod to work. Use the Computer console near the Council Chambers(on Dantooine) and ask about Advanced Lightsabers design. Choose Type 4 For this lightsaber and you will be given a new upgrade crystal, which you can use to upgrade any standard Lightsaber to this design.

*NOTE* This crystal will only work in Standard single lightsaber hilts. *To install extract the files and copy to override after you install My "lightsaber 6 pack", allow the files to overwrite. This mod is compatible with Seprithro's Weapon Pack , But must be installed after you install his mod.

Type 4 Lightsaber: This saber model is based on Qui-gon Jin's Lightsaber From Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. The Crystal properties are the same as the Standard Lightsabers accept 2 power crystals are enhanced.

WOW!!

This makes me think of lyrics from a song I think from Vertical Horizon.

"Your a God and I am not, And I just thought I'd let you know."

I think it fits with this model in addition to your previous ones and that it is made compatible with seps weapon pack.

Hey by the way T7 I've been trying to make as many of the new mods compatible as possible with the Holowan plugin for myself but if you would like them when I wrap it up soon for me and a friend I could forward it on to you for your next plugin update.

You can do it yourself. It's pretty simple.

You need KOTOR mod manager. If you don't have it you can dl it here: http://home.comcast.net/~cchargin/kotor/index.html

- Open MDLOps, click "open" and find w_lghtsbr_072.mdl.

- select "read model" and then "Renamer".

- click on each plane and in the "new name" field type w_lsabreblue01.

- click on "write model.

That's it. :D

If you want to replace default blue lightsaber hilt with this one, just rename w_lghtsbr_072.mdl and.mdx to w_lghtsbr_001.mdl and .mdx.

Although this mod is mega cool, I cannot get a icon for the equip screen it just comes up as a white square. I have tried emptying the overrride folder and just installing the original mod and this extention but i still get the same result. Does anybdy know what i am doing wrong and if so how do i solve it.

I updated the the mod to Qui_gon_jin_hilt_1.1.rar so be sure that you Download that File. YOu may nee to refresh the page a couple times OR clen out your web cache.

ps. Is kata_mad the only person that has used this hilt. Thanks for catching that kata_mad.

hmmm... poly count, 1300+ very nice considering the fine details, looks great too. how did you manage only 1300 polys with all the grooves in the lower hilt? did you use the very tedious method of hand making each one, or use booleans with simple ngons? either way, awsome work, :D

For the indents I used booleans and then cleaned up the extra junk I didn't need and the hilt started off as an 8 sided ngon. ;)
