Surfnshannon
I agree KOTOR And also its not an RPG, but I bought the SIMS 2 and now I'm hooked.... Shameless I know
Sabretooth
You might want to wait up for Dungeon Siege II which is releasing somewhere around KOTORII. If it turns out to be good, there can be a bit of rivalry between the two... <_<

GothiX
Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines. Doesn't get much more awesome than this. Oh, and POP: Warrior Within, just because it's cool.
lassev
Freelancer is a good game. It's much closer to FPS than a simulator in practice (and played with a mouse). That's why I can suggest it. I have played it many times through. It's a fine game, if you are interest in the genre at all.
