Currently, some minor problems with changed model. Trying to find out how to make no-messing-with-appearance.2da clothes.

:)

Gotta agree with DK here! Pretty sweet lookin' "skin" (and the clothes aren't half bad either) ;) hehehe

Everything looks great!

You know that would be a totally awesome model & skin to replace for all female jedi sentinel's(scoundrel). I was already thinking to try replacing the males with smuggler outfit for the sentinel and soldier outfits for jedi guardians in my new head pack. I know maybe onderon commoner robes for the counselor. Just got to think of some choices for the females.

sorry strayed from topic.

If you release this shortly might I be able to use this in my new PC head pack. [prays]Please Say Yes, Please Say Yes, Please Say Yes[/prays]

Looks good so far.

I'd recomend perhaps taking the recoloring further beyond just the shirt and losing the tattoo perhaps (thats a personal taste issue though).

Also, don't forget that you'll have to make at least 8 versions of the texture for each of the 3 player skin types (caucasian will work for Visas and Mira unless you want to customize it more for them) and a paler one for Handmaiden, plus a darkside version of each. Unless its going to be PC restricted in which case you only need 6. Its a real pain as I discovered with my dancer outfits mod.

That is a great skin, but I don't think there's any way to do this without appearance.2da editing. I say this cause in the past the only way that was done was to extract the ".mdl & .mdx" files for the model wanted and then renaming them to the model to be replaced. The problem with doing it that way in TSL is that the female PC's use the "N_commf" model and doing it that way would change the model for all NPC's using that model.

But by no means should you let what I said from stopping your attempt. Cause you may find out something not already known.

Looks Great! But if I could make a suggestion, I dont really like the belly button tatto, but thats just my opinion, Nice Work!:D

Actually, it is possible and I have already done that. Now I'm working with photoshop to fullfill your requirements (no tatoo, skin colors, more details etc)

Would you mind sharing how you did it then? I would really like to know thanks.

Thanks to T7Nowhere, who decribed Revan Armor trick here

I extracted Mira mdl and mdx and put it in my override under the proper names used by my PC in modelj and texj columns (also renamed Mira texture).

My uti uses baseitem 89, so when you put clothes on, they change model and texture to those in my override.

Here is Mira's jacket for PC. It's the same as on screenshot so its unfinished yet but you'll get an idea. It goes to override and works without messing with .2da.

I forgot.

just change the name of Mira's Body Model MDL & MDX to that of the Female PC Body model. And change her Body Texture accordingly as well.

Thats what I do for all my PC's when I am reskinning them because its easier to add/remove different models and textures while working on them.

For instance, I used Luxa's Head and Body for a Female PC reskin, but changed it to PFHC04 so I could replace my current character's head and changed luxa's body models to pfbm or whatever its called. Its quick and easy, but it has the unfortunate side effect of changeing EVERY character that uses the same model.

Revan Armor is currently not used by any NPC so it's better way, because it doesn't have side effects.

I may know almost nothing related to kotor modding, but even small mods can be great (dont need to be really complex and dificult to be nice) and i believe this is one of them, really neat.

It's a pity that .txi file with envmaptexture CM_Baremetal command doesn't work. I wanted to make some parts shiny. It seems that would require .2da changes.

P.S.: You! Yes You! Shoo, go away! Find another W.I.P thread :p

Go ahead and make some with the requirment for changing the envmaptexture as personally I almost prefer to change my PC body models to the CM_Baremetal texture because so many people make use of this and have found it very effective in there clothing and armor mods.

Do you plan to color the eyes? I think it was Xcom who released a couple of female models with pretty neat effects. I am using one right now and the eyes are similar to the "Anakin" eyes in episode III.

You may have noticed that some posts disappeared.

As I mentionned previously, everyone has the right to like or dislike a mod but not to post mean comments. There are people of all ages and all backgrounds here and they are all welcomed to try modding Kotor. It does not matter whether they have modding experience or not, whether they know how to use a command prompt or not. The important thing is to have fum modding.

If you dislike a mod, post your comments in a constructive and polite manner, not in way that may discourage some people. Otherwise, refrain yourself from posting. And it's not because you are able to do a similar mod that a mod has no value. Some simple mods can sometimes bring more to the game than complicated stuff.

And finally, calling people mentally incompetent will not be tolerated.

If anyone has a problem with the present post, you can PM me or any other moderator here but do not comment this further in this thread: let's keep it on topic, it is also a matter of respect towards the thread starter.

I'm rather taken with this mod. However, I'd like to second

Drakonnen and suggest/request that the outfit is recoloured to further distinguish it from the original.

wow that's awesome! I really like it. Personally I like the tattoo, a ex-jedi that's a former general of the mandalorian wars needs some sort of distinguishing feature(s) to make him/her stand out w/that *take no crap from anyone* kind of attitude. Personally I think you should make a lot more mods like this. I always like it when small modifications make all the difference and bring new life to a game (and this seems to be one of those).
