Darth Groovy Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Back to food and drinks again. Can't decide what cake I want for my birthday. Right now I am leaning towards German Chocolate. Any suggestions?
Sivy Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 chocolate fudge cake > * although Banoffee is pretty darn good too.
NiKo Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 I've tasted a banana & rum cake not long ago. it was delightfull.

Joshi Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Double Chocolate Gateux. If you're planning on getting hammered later, the cake on the way back is a lot more... pleasant. If you're not getting hammered, hey, you've just had a Double Chocolate Gateux. Okay, so someone tell me how to spell Gatuex.
DrMcCoy Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 ...Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte (^= Black Forest gateau?)!
Kjølen Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Toad in the hole! Or just go with the classic chocolate cake with vanilla icing or vice versa.
toenail1 Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 What's that cake mix called that ahs the little colored dot in it? They add a whole new dimension to your cake experience! You can pick up a box in your local grocery store for a couple of bucks, too!
Darth Groovy Posted April 1, 2005 Author Posted April 1, 2005 Now I am leaning towards Neopolitan or Creme De Minte.
Skinkie Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Cheesecake, preferably with strawberry swirls in it.
Joshi Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Cheescake?! CHEESECAKE?! Cheese! Cake!... Am I hearing you right?! You mean a Cake... of Cheese?!... Cheese Cake?! Cheese! Cake! Garlic Bread?!
LukeKatarn Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Choclate cheese cake with caramel. Or any kid of pie with chocolat and peanut butter or caramel in it.
Fealiks Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 hmmm. Improvise. Get a french sandwich and run a layer of icing onto the top, then put some of those cool metalic balls on, they always brighten it up. You could also use your improvisation skills (cooking not acting ) to have small blocks off sour blue milk by the side. I love your blue milk*. *but then i love chicken nuggets in chocolate spread, so you may choose not to take the compliment...

toenail1 Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 Originally posted by Kjølen Angel Food Cake. No, it's not angel food cake. It was Party Dots or Fun Dots or some stupid name. But god damn, did they make the cake look and taste better!
Darth Groovy Posted April 3, 2005 Author Posted April 3, 2005 Originally posted by Kjølen Angel Food Cake. Angel Food cake is only good if burried in fresh strawberries and cool whip. Otherwise, it may as well be wonder bread.
Joshi Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 So being an ignorant Brit, I have to ask, what the hell is Wonder Bread? I've heard it being used in a conversation (or a pathetic attempt at a joke) but still don't know what it is.

JofaGuht Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 Dude, Wonder Bread is a chemical construct that may slightly represent what bread SHOULD be. It's not bread. And it's not Angel Cake either.

Or just go to Baskin Robbins and get somethin' there. And just to see the looks on people's faces, tell 'em that you want Mince Meat Pie.
Kjølen Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 Lady Jedi eh? You're new around these parts. Unless... you're really OLD around these parts. O_O Nah, weclome.
