Archonon
If the Atton sequence at the end (Where he joins the player to go to the Outer Rim) is set to be a universal scene, meaning it was originally intended to play regardless of gender. How come the team has decided to limit this to play with a specific gender PC. I understand that for replayability you'd be interested in delivering as different an experience as possible but why do this with universal sequences and not only with set gender/alignment sequences as originally intended. Personally I've already played the game as a female PC to see what it was like, but I think there are some players out there like me that just aren't interested in playing both genders yet would like to see as much of the restored content as possible. I thought the restoration was set to include things as originally intended by the devs or as close as could be determined? I'm only curious about this mind you, that's why I was asking. I hope you don't get the impression I was criticizing or anything like that. I think you guys are doing superb work and should really be commended. Thanks so much for all you are doing. The Visas-or-Handmaiden is noted as gender-specific though... I'm guessing that it was assumed to be gender-specific because this particular dialogue is set up so that Handmaiden takes Visas' place if Visas is dead, due to the specific ordering of the nodes, and this suggests that it was originally intended to be gender-specific. On the other hand, the dialogue file naming, and lack of Disciple-related ending suggests that it could still be interpreted as universal. *shrug*

If I misinterpreted then great, because I look forward to seeing that. I know anything relating to Disciple is gender specific though as only female PCs can have him along for the journey, but I didn't like his character much so I don't mind not seeing his things as a male PC. Again sorry about the mixup.

Again sorry about the mixup. My mistake; sorry to both you and Battle Dog. I had thought Battle Dog was referring only to the dialogue path shown in our screenshot on the site; Atton does have slightly different lines for the end sequence depending on gender (the result is the same however). Dashus
We are doing the Droid Factory. We are not doing the droid planet (M4-78) at this time; there's just too little dialog or any idea of what was supposed to go on (at least to the level we'd need to feel comfortable about restoring it). AcornArmy
I love what you lot are doing with the Restoration Project. This is exactly what's needed for KotOR II. I stopped playing the game my first time through after finishing the first couple of planets, deciding to wait until the official patch came out. Around the time that v1.0b finally did arrive, though, I heard about this project, and I decided to wait until it was done as well, and for the additional patches which LA said would be forthcoming. I figure, why allow my impatience to make me play an inferior game, when, if I wait a while, I might be able to play a version of the game that really deserves to be a successor to the original KotOR? One thing, though: what happened to the idea of regular updates about the project? I don't mean big, polished updates like the ones that are already up, necessarily; just brief updates as to how things are going. It hasn't really been that long since the last update, only 33 days or so. Maybe it just seems longer because LucasArts has, once again, seemingly forgotten about the promised patch(es) which they said would be available within a few days. Guess there was a freak accident while zipping together those sound files or something.
Det. Bart Lasiter
M-478 was designed to test various things throughout the game, note the console dialogs and such, for instance some of the first consoles you come across offer item generation. Colma Adawin
I recently PM'ed Aurora, and asked some questions and got some good answers. ( Aurora if you wish the PM listed below removed, just say, i or any of the moderators or admin will do so. ) Taken From MattColejk's Private Message Inbox Re: Restoration Project ? Hey! Thanks for the encouragement and all. 1) Do we know the extent of the cut content? We're fairly certain we've identified everything that's been cut, although there may be a few snippets out there, eluding us somehow. 2) Seeing as Lucas Arts and Obsidian know that you lot are 'helping' finish the game, are you two working together on projects? like you guys have the Droid Factory, whilst they do the Droid Planet? that SORT of thing? We are not being assisted by either company, no. 3) Do you have any projected Releases for us Star Wars Lovers? No release project at all until we're absolutely sure. In fact, we might announce it the day of the release. 4) The Download Page on your website, i was wondering if you were going to change it so that it was something like PCGAMEMODS? We'll consider it, but it's unlikely and not a particularly high priority at the moment. The Restoration Project, however, should include all of the fixes, at least, together in one neat package. -Aurora Hope this PM helps light up some dark areas ( Bad pun ) MattCole

Barachiel
Fantastic project guys. I've been following it avidly for the last month, since I found the link via Google. I think I speak for the entire community when I thank you for putting forth the time and effort for such an undertaking. I only hope the endless "is it done yet?"s don't drive you insane. Sean2k
Is it done yet? No really, you guys have allready made af GREAT job and I for one (among hundreds) are REALLY looking forward to see the finale results. Just see all the "Is it done yet?" as a pad on the shoulders and a "great job, keep up the good work". So thanks for huge work you have done and the work you will make. And as before good luck with the exams. P.S. Is it done yet?
