Asgardried Armory

Marin: Alright. Thank you.

----------

Shadow Base, Space

*The Shadow base is a large sphere-shaped object the size of a city floating in space. The area about it is ringed with devastated ships and debris. A few ships are exchanging bright colored blaster fire, and flames and explosions come from the base itself.

After a few seconds the large gray mass of Guy's ship moves in between the Asgardried and the fighting ships, drifting towards the base while physically shielding the Asgardried*

----------

Shadow Base, Interior

*Shane puts Aren on the defensive in the duel, and Aren leaps backwards off the platform to another platform. Shane follows.

The ork looks around. Explosions are sounding and there is no one left near them. She looks back at Ellela and stares for a long moment*

Ork: *disbelievingly* You want to... save her?

Asgardried Armory

Marin: Ansuz Algiz. Meshikae.

*She pictures herself without the armor - easy after all her shapeshifting - and the ring burns red-hot on her finger. But the physical pain she'd dealt with before, and didn't begin to compare to the mental pain. Marin staggers*

----------

Asgardried, Guy's Ship

Guy: *over comm to Asgardried as the ships rapidly approach the base in the shadow of the 'drifting' larger vessel* I'm sending you a data transfer with a map of the base layout and locations of the four who were kidnapped, as soon as I locate them... now. *after a moment* They're separated - three are close together, close to us, in the same dock, and the other is in a completely different section of the base. Data sent.

----------

Shadow Base, Interior

*The ork keeps giving Ellela a look as if wondering if she was quite sane. She starts to say something else, but cuts off when one of the nearby docks explodes inward from a hit outside. She picks up her sister, very carefully putting one hand under her head and the other under her shoulders*

((If Ellela is trying to help move her, she could pick up her legs or use the Force or somesuch... and yes, there's room for all of them in Aren's ship))

Asgardried Armory

*Heimdall grabs Marin and helps stead her as her armor and sword are absorbed by the ring. He then grabs a tankard and gives it to Marin*

Heimdall: Here drink this, it will sooth the pain.

--------------------

Asgardried

Vidar: Thank you, we will go after the three that are grouped together first.

----------------------

Asgardried: Lounge

*Svafa enters the lounge carring two helms, when she sees Idona she tosses one of the helms to her*

Svafa: Almost time to have some fun.

*Idona deftly catches the Helm*

Idona: You two come with us *pointing to Tanara and Eliana*

*Idona and Svafa walk down the corridor heading for the entry ramp.*

Tanara and Elaina were on their feet, instantly moving to follow Idona and Svafa.

"Ready for this?" Elaina asked her sister quietly. Tanara's face was emotionless.

"Ready as ever," she answered cryptically. "You know? I'm having a little trouble keeping Kira down... give me a second."

Elaina stopped and put her hand on Tanara's forehead. Then, Tanara nodded.

"Thank you," she said. "Let's catch up."

They hurried after Idona and Svafa.

Asgardried Armory

*Marin drinks*

Marin: Ansuz Algiz. Henshin.

----------

Space

*The Asgardried, following Guy's directions, approaches a shattered docking bay allowing entry into the interior of the base, many levels below their destination but away from the main concentration of battling ships. Fires burn inside the artificial atmosphere.

Inside the base, a vast panorama of destruction opens up. The ring of docks the Asgardried is on goes all around, with a floor some hundred feet below. Gaping holes are torn in the floor, revealing other levels below. Destroyed ships and vehicles and many other pieces of debris are strewn about as far as the eye can see. Bodies, many cut to pieces, are scattered across the level. Multicolored fires burn everywhere*

Guy: *on comm* Go towards the center of the base. There's warp chutes vehicles can ride for rapid interior transit, assuming they're still online.

*K'Warra laughs*

K'Warra: Only a matter of time, now...

*The Asgardried reaches the warap chutes, which are flickering blue and white vertical tunnels. On entering one it zips upwards, the world around it dissolving into blue for a few moments and then returning to normality on another level.*

Guy: The three are straight ahead. Across the level, on one of the docks. We have to move quick.

*This level is about five times the size of the previous level, and full of burning ships, dead bodies and demolished machinery. Currents of loose magic energy run across the floor and around the machinery*

((Deac, time to post whatever Gortick + Ellela are up to...))

Gortick: COME ON!

*Elella uses the force to levitate the Ork, and begins moving quickly toward the ship, where she lays her down on a suitable bunk*

Elella: Hit it! *The ship begins to whirr into life and lifts off. As it moves out of the hangar...*

Gortick: Is that...our ship?

*Aren's ship is hit from behind by bright white bolts, causing the ship to veer in its course. White, electric lines crackle behind it.

Two small, flat black shapes with designs reminiscent of a double axe blade streak past the now faltering ships and head towards the Asgardried.*

Guy's Ship

Guy: Blades! Those are personal fighters.

K'Warra: Took 'em long enough.

*K'Warra promptly climbs out the top of Guy's ship's tiny hold and heads towards the exterior doors of the Asgardried's cargo hold*

Guy: *comm* I'm projecting a protective field around this ship to augment your protections. You might detect energy fluctuations...

*The Blade fighters approach the Asgardried and open fire. Streaks of white light shatter against the Asgardried's augmented shields, the energy spreading and rippling. The fighters circle in a strange fashion, following a sideways axis despite the barely-powered engines being located at the back, spraying the Asgardried with energy.

Inside, K'Warra approaches the cargo bay doors*

K'Warra: Um. Open sesame.

K'Warra: This is the part where I should throw a hissy fit and rip off your doors, but you're too cute for that, so pretty please let me out.

*Outside of the Asgardried, the Blade ships flick back off towards Aren's ship*

Guy: *comm* Return fire, if that won't compromise shielding or slow us. They need to be distracted.

*The Blade ships fire on Aren's ship again, dodging the turbolaser fire from the Asgardried. This time, their salvos are different from blasts of white light; one ship fires bright green blasts, the second fires blue-and-gold tinted streaks. A cluster of glowing missiles fire from one of the fighters, electric streaks trailing behind them. The missiles curve and swoop and smash into the engines of Aren's ship, ripping through the shields. The engines explode, taking the ship's back half with it, barely avoiding ripping into the passenger area. Alarms clang inside Aren's ship.

K'Warra, swooping out of the Asgardried, opens his wings in midair and banks. Glowing, translucent plates of light cover his form like disconnected armor. He closes his fists and twin balls of blinding white light appear compressed inside them.

The Blade fighters split up; one heads back towards the Asgardried, the other heads for K'Warra.

Inside his ship, Guy punches a few buttons, interfacing with the remaining active systems of the Shadow base*

*Aren's ship rocks as it takes a hit*

Gortick: Damn! They're shooting us! Where's the damned comm on this thing?

*Elella spins toward the Ork*

Elella: If you can help him work this thing, now's the time, unless you want us all to get fragged out of the sky!

((dot dot dot))

Sir-Vin "So Heimdall, considering the commotion, it's rather obvious that we're going to be in one of those situtations: 'Oh god, oh god, where's all going to die!' while trying to rescue our comrades?" *making the note that people are 'dressing up' their armour and battle gear*

((Tired so this is a bit rough.))

Aren's Ship

Ork: *looking at Ellela incredulously* Don't you get it? We're dead either way. It doesn't matter.

*She grabs the controls of the ship anyway, and begins trying to maneuver it, punching buttons wildly*

----------

Guy's Ship

*Guy accesses and activates a set of programs in the level above. A blast rips through the roof of the level between the Asgardried and the approaching Blade ships. He sets off more explosions on the levels going upwards, and activates the remote systems of all the droids and ships set on standby in the area, along with starting any system still online. His monitors light up with magic signals. Finally, he programs the free section of his ship to warp into the above area.

----------

Exterior

One of the Blade fighters streaks up through the hole. The other keeps on coming, firing on the Asgardried, all the while weaving away from the ship's turbolaser blasts. The blasts, twisting multicolored wands of light, streak to a point before impacting the larger ship's shields and cut through, ripping a glancing streak across the Asgardried's armor. Minor defensive blasts deflect or shred blasts from the Asgardried that get too close.

K'Warra, flying under his own power now rather than gliding, moves towards the Blade fighter and hurls the balls of light at it. The balls explode violently getting close enough to the fighter, which easily evades them but turns its attention to K'Warra.*

K'Warra: *Yelling* Sure you can hit the big flying monster... but how about the little one?

*He hurls red lightning at the Blade fighter, which answers with its own lightning, joining the two in an arc that flits across the area.

Below, in twin flashes of blue light, two more Blades appear, crouching sans ships atop the highest pieces of debris which lie amongst the others like towers. Both are completely covered in bodysuits except their glowing eyes, and bear infinity marks on their foreheads and one of their hands*

Elella: Screw dying, if you wanted to do that you'd have stayed back there. Just push the buttong that activates the comm so we can call our ship.

*Gortick weaves through fire*

Gortick: These people are really NOT happy with us right now!

Aren's Ship

Ork: Not happy with us? Don't you know who those are? No, I guess you wouldn't, would you...

*She punches a few buttons as the ship keeps wobbling*

Ork: I can only open up a comm broadcast that will send to every ship in the area. I hope you're okay with that, because those Blades are gonna hear everything too. I really hope your friends have some kind of escape plan. Not that it'll help for long...

Asgardried: Bridge

*Heimdall flipped the com switch*

Heimdall: Try and control yourself Irvine.

*turning off the comm, Heimdall studies a tatical display*

Asgardreid: When can I use some of my better weaponry?

Heimdall: You're not going to.

Asgardried: Fine, I'll just grab them then. Since their ships somewhat in pieces I'm going to pull it inside and then we can all have a nice group hug.

Heimdall: Thank you.

Asgardried: Your most welcome knave.

------------------------------------------

*The Asgardried locked a tractor beam onto the remaining half of Aren's ship and began to rapidly pull it in towards the closed cargo bay. The ship again rotating away from the battle, providing some cover for the cargo bay as the doors opened.

The front half of Aren's ship slips into the cargo bay with only centimeters to spare on either side. As soon as the ship was in the bay, the doors began to close*
